A small museum with 2 floors depicting the evolution of the police and swat teams.
Entrance is free although the staff did ask for an id but after explaining being a tourist, they just let me go through.
The transformation of uniforms, vehicles, training and weapons are all on show and the museum is pretty quiet not crowded so you can wander around freely and at leisure.
Just get a grab bike to get you there and back to avoid traffic.
Fun and informative way to spend an hour or two

Located at the heart of south jakarta CBD.

Me and my lil boy visited this museum as he was curious about the helicopter stand in front of the museum. When we came, we have to dropped our bag to their locker. Leave your ID also.

This place is fully aircon-ed. Full of light and have a helpful and cheerful officer.

Ground floor. Patrol car, patrol motorbike, patrol bicycle, gun collection, Indonesian Police General face and their history.

Up more, will be much more interesting. About Densus 88, bomb evidence from bali 1 and 2, glasses of doctor azahari.

They have a theater, unfortunately there's nobody inside.

All in all, you must visit this great place. Bring with your family inside..

A small collection but compact with history. There's no admission fee for this museum, you just need id. You can see several events in the past regarding our national security

I went here while joining a walking tour which use this museum as a meeting point. Actually I was not aware of this museum, although I often passed by this place. In front of the museum is the statue of the first Head Police of Indonesia. I was guided by a policewoman who had a 'grumpy' face but was very funny, and she was very informative. She can speak in Bahasa and Chinese, but could not speak English. It was a fun and enriching experience.
