Volcano, Local Village, Hot Spring and Tea Plantation Tour from Jakarta

Visit Tangkuban Parahu Volcano which is still active, that you can see the crater closely, smell sulfur and see a puff of smoke from the crater of Tangkuban Parahu Volcano. On the way to volcano, you will pass through a vast expanse of tea plantations and we will pass the local village with a vast expanse of rice fields around it. You can see the activities of farmers planting and plowing rice fields and even harvesting rice in the fields. Before returning to Jakarta, do not miss to relax and soaking in a hot spring whose water comes from the crater of Tangkuban Parahu Vulcano, after that try to explore Fruit Market and try fresh local fruit such as : the Mangostins & Honey Pineapples.

Zoo is alway be children's favourite. Ragunan is the only one animals conservatory in Jakarta. Now the government has been focus on the place and the animal, so the animals can get the proper place to live. Ragunan is very huge place. Lots of animals grown here. Nowadays, on Sunday morning, this place can be used for people to do sports, like running, walking or cycling around the zoo. It opens at 7.30 with the fee ticket only IDR 5,000 per person.

Outdoor walk under the tree, looking to various different animal. It’s a big area to walk, you can also rent a bike, or bring your own bicycle. Try to get there early in the morning, less hot and less people doing some picnic specially on the weekend, a bit crowded with some street market inside the zoo selling hat, sun glasses etc totally unrelated.

Ragunan Zoo has four entrances for a reason, being that it is absolutely massive. The interesting thing is that a lot of regular daily life is going on in there. There are lots of people wandering around selling things, countless little eateries, people snoozing here are there and even four mosques. Bicycles are available for rent at each entrance for 10,000 rupiah per hour. They also have tandems if that is your thing. Even with the bicycles, we only covered the northern half of the zoo in two hours. On top of that, the layout is bewildering and the signs aren’t always accurate. The whole place is fairly rundown but there are positives too. The animals seem to be mostly in good shape. Actually some of the animals might even be overweight, but I’m not a veterinarian, so I can’t be sure. Having just visited KL Bird Park last week, it was also nice to see that the ostriches here have all their feathers (which in KL, they don’t). All in all, lots of greenery, fresh air and a nice escape from the city. And the admission fee of 6,000 rupiah is almost free. A good day out, but I wouldn’t do it on foot.

I love the nature theme or vibes, it's really makes me relax and at the same time entertaining. In the ragunan you can pet the animal(some of them) and taking some good photos. I really like animal and the place is cozy(fresh) because the tree or grass. Of course there is something i would evaluate.. I'm really annoyed because of the poor cleanliness of the habitat(cage). There is so many trash or dry leaf which has been muddy, there may be 2 option like the staff didn't pay much attention to their place or maybe it was the tourist fault for littering. My advice for the future tourist is please throw your trash in the right place, at least if you too lazy finding the trash bin you can put it in your pocket or bag then throw the trash when you accidentally find it(trash bin). It just.....such a waste if you make a beautiful place turn into gloomy atmosphere because it was dirty. So, please...
