Excellent and knowledgeable tour guide Thomas Chakravarty from Ekaputra Tours. Curiously named after Indian film actor Mithun Chakravarty he explains everything with old and contemporary history as well as Geo-political perspective. Call Ekaputra and ask for him.

My husband and I recently booked a private tour with a local guide called Neti. We found her name on Tours by Locals, and after reading her excellent reviews, we decided to give it a go. We were interested to find out about both the history of Jakarta , and at the same time, go through a local guide to get more of a feel for how people in Jakarta and experience life.
Neti definitely met our expectations! She was so knowledgeable and friendly, and has a real passion and love for her job. She has several tours and the one we choose was the Historical tour of Jakarta. Had we stayed longer, we would have taken other tours with her as well.
From the word go, she was punctual, arriving early to pick us up at our hotel. The car was clean, air conditioned , with several bottles of water provided - which was a blessing with the hot and humid outdoor temperatures.
Neti was so friendly, and her English was fantastic! She went out of her way to make both my husband and myself feel welcome, and even went above and beyond her role, by making sure she took us to a souvenir shop which did not rip us off!
I would absolutely have no hesitation in recommending her as a tour guide and using her again should we visit Jakarta again.

This is my first experience in Jakarta and unexpectedly I have met a very kind person and helped me fully when I was in Jakarta, Mr. Henryco Simon. He is a very friendly man and we are not as awkward as he is at home. I'm sure to be there again and definitely I want to be dealt with by Mr. Henry again. and thank Pak Rido for all the cooperation.

Had the pleasure of meeting Farid, our guide for the walking tour of the Chinese sector of Jakarta
Visit to the Chandra Naya Mansion of 19th century Chinese trader was the starting point, next to Novotel
Then in to the oldest temple in the area a day a Catholic Church enshrined in a Chinese home
Some excellent Street food and market wares like herbal medicine, instance, fire crackers and lots of fruits, fish(frogs) and vegetables

If you ever find yourself traveling to Jakarta, I highly recommend that you contact Mr. Rido to help you arrange your travel plans to visit both local attractions and surrounding areas. Mr. Rido immediately responds to emails and WhatsApp correspondences to assist in your planning needs. I originally requested two days of sightseeing in addition to an airport drop off. Mr. Rido reserved my dates and provided an electronic invoice to ensure that expectations were clear. Even when I had to cancel one of the days last minute, he was very accommodating and made the adjustment without issue. He also assigned a wonderful guide to drive my family to the Taman Safari in Bogor. Mr. Henryco Simon was assigned as our private guide and provided AMAZING service that went above and beyond my expectations. As we traveled the 2 hour journey to Bogor, he skillfully navigated the congested traffic through Jakarta and shared his knowledge and expertise regarding sites we saw along the way. His friendly personality and pleasant demeanor made the long drive go quickly with great conversation and personal insights. It was like traveling with a good friend. When we got to our destination, he personally escorted my family around to make sure that we did not miss any of the highlights and to assist with translation as needed. When he picked my family up to take us to the airport, I mentioned that my husband really wanted to try this drink called Kelapa Kopior but we didn't have time to get it before we left the hotel. Henryco went out of his way to find a restaurant that served this drink before he dropped us off at the airport. I was so impressed with the sincere warmth and care that he showed my family. Henryco definitely contributed to the wonderful memories my family and I had traveling to Indonesia. So, if you ever find yourself traveling to Jakarta, please contact Mr. Rido and request Henryco Simon as your private driver. Mention Kelapa Kopior so he will know which crazy Americans recommended his services.

First time to Jakarta, Indonesia. Henryco Simon is the best private guide I've ever had. He was excellent! Speaks English perfectly, very knowledgeable about Jakarta history. I will definitely use him again when I go back to Indonesia.

Went to Jakarta to celebrate and to learn more about Jakarta. Contacted Mr.Rido and he immediately responded to my emails. Very easy to talk with and he gave me a detailed itinerary. When we met Mr.Dibyo, he was really nice and is very eager to answer all our questions. He accompanied us everywhere we went and gave us insights about the people and places. He made us taste great Indonesian food and he always made it a point that we were alright and that we were having fun. Our tour was great and we would recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Jakarta. Thank you very much!

We had a Jakarta-Tour with Henryco. It was a nice day. We have seen much places. Old town batavia, old harbour, istiqlal mosque, cathedral, president palace, national monument, ancol and a hitten temple. Also the crazy traffic at Jakarta. But Driver/Guide Henryco has done a great job. For us is Jakarta not a must have - but if you visit Jakarta only with hellonolan and Henryco.

I was planning to visit Bandung on 1st of Aug 2018. While researcing on the internet I found Mr Rido's contact information and contacted him via Whatsapp for getting more information regarding the private tours he organizes. Mr Rido was easily available on Whatsapp and after initial discussion he organized a custom tailor made Bandung tour for me with Mr Dibyo.
Mr Dibyo contacted me via Whatsapp and informed about the trip itinerary before we started.
As decided, next day Mr Dibyo was at my hotel and we started the journey. Mr Dibyo is a very humble person with an extensive knowledege about the region. He speaks good English and a very easy to talk person. During the tour we talked a lot about the local indonesian culture, the people, food and so on.
The tour was planned so well that even the mighty Jakarta traffic couldn't stop us from visiting all the places spend sufficent amount of time there and be back as planned.
While in Bandung Mr Dibyo took me to a local Sundanese restaurant where I was able to experience delicious Sundanese food.
During the tour we visited places which were in the remote regions and I completely felt safe there.
Overall my tour experience was excellent and I gained 2 more friends from Indonesia. I would definitely go on a tour with Mr Dibyo the next time I am in Jakarta.
Finally thanking Mr Rido for putting together such a great tour.
