- Savvy GrayLos Angeles, California51 contributionsBatur Hot SpringsWhen you first arrive, there is a parking lot where there are local food spots and vendors. Upon entering, there were cute signs and beautiful flowers along the way. They have a towel service, lockers, shower areas, bathrooms, lounge areas, and a food area. They even offer free Wi-Fi ! There are 3 pool areas, and the water is hot, but relaxing and fresh. I enjoyed my time while here. I would definitely recommend coming to experience it. I didn't go on it, but when I was leaving I did see 3 water slides which was pretty cool.Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten November 15, 2023
- JMNew York City, New York16 contributionsProbably not the real dealKind of a weird scene. Not fun. Maybe the water is healthy, but it all felt kind of weird. No engagement except one person soliciting massages ( no thank you, ever) 2 buildings with junk in them Visible to the naked eye eye. In Bali, cluttered stagnant spaces are said to house bad spirits, that’s believable here.Visited March 2024Traveled soloWritten March 20, 2024
- Jamie W4 contributionsVery nice place but BewareThe best hot springs we have been to in Bali hot water and very clean and relaxing. But beware they rob you at the ticket counter when counting your money they will take $100000 and say you are short. Same scam they run at money changers.Visited June 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 4, 2024
- for the Love of TravelJackson, Wyoming142 contributionsOnly place on Bali to soakAt 3,000ft it’s much cooler on Lake Batur. This is probably the only place in all of Bali that you would consider soaking in warm water. We bought our tix from a guesthouses. We paid $350k. This allows entrance, locker, towel and a welcome drink. The massage ladies are a bit aggressive and over priced. Asking $150 for 30 mins. You can talk them down to $100 and it’s worth it. As with everywhere in this town the flies are everywhere. All and all this is nice place to send a few hours.Visited June 2024Traveled with friendsWritten June 15, 2024

Wonderful idea, fantastic location but slobby execution, infriendly staff, not clean, all pools the same temperature you'd have at home in a bathtup and way too expensive for what you get. Arrived hungry after a sunrise trek only to find that the restaurant chose to serve a party and wouldn't serve us anything for 4 hours - not even a slice of bread. So, don't count on being able to buy food there.
Recomend that you spend half the money enjoying a nice lunch/dinner in Kintamani with a great view of the lake and volcanos instead.

My guess is that this place looked wonderful before covid. When all the tourists left they did stop cleaning the place and never started cleaning again.
This place is dirty and smells, specially the changing room

I was there in January 2024. Wonderfully relaxing, no tourists... clean facility in Bali style. If it doesn't suit you, you can go next door to the hideous modern functional building with a membership fee of 300,000 rupiah.

We spent 2.5 hours here. Our boys of 13 and 15 loved the slides and the warm water. The water is pure and odor-free. There is 1 bath with fresh water, which was certainly welcome on this sunny day. The towels were soft and smelled fresh.
The welcome drink is a bottle of flat water or half a glass of juice. Cons: the showers and changing room are dated. As well as the lockers.
The environment is full of flies so the advice is: stay in the water.
There is little or no supervision. There was a child walking around naked jumping into the water without a swimsuit.
Furthermore, I think that children should at least be potty trained to go into a public pool/hot spring. There were families sitting in the water with their babies and young toddlers.

Two hot springs are side by side. Building Natural Hotspring is less developed and therefore a little less touristy. It is also called a “public bath”. As a result, hygiene is more “local”. We stopped here for 1h30 between two temples and a walk. We did not take the meal option and it was very good. The springs are really hot MSG and the view is worth the cost.

This place is no good. Overpriced. They charge 300K rupiah per person. We spend less than an hour here.
We bought a drink and the glasses where very unclean. There was 4 staffs sitting on the floor behind the bar. Maybe the should start cleaning the glasses. Will not come back.

We couldn't fit in Mount Batur Trek or a stay in the Kintamani area but did manage to squeeze this in. The entire area of Kintamani is at a different level (quite literally) to whatever we had experienced in Bali till that point of time. It was much cooler (it was noon when we got there!) and the water was at just the right temperature. My son really enjoyed his time here as we wasn't well and barely made it out of the room. In that sense it could be said of as being therapeutic! Toya Devasya is right next door and gets even better views but does cost more too. Would definitely recommend this place.

The facility is quite nice and there is nothing to complain about the view. We were there very early in the morning, after the tour to Mount Batur. That was because of the number of visitors. 200,000 IDR for Balineiche conditions is already hefty, but as a tourist you pay almost everywhere the foreign price.
Now comes the reason for the poor review. There is a massive plague of flies on the entire complex and that is still expressed in a friendly way. You are besieged by countless beasts, so you cannot find peace. If you're in the water, you land continuously on your face, on your head, fly into your eyes, just absolutely annoying. So everyone should think carefully if they want to go through the stress.

This is a horrible place.... don't go
The changing rooms/lockers are small and dirty, and don't get me started on the showers!
The staff were really unhelpful, unlike everyone else we met in Bali
The place is dirty, shabby and tacky and the flies were literally everywhere.
It isn't even a hot spring it is a hot grubby swimming pool.... dont go!!

Any recommend time range to visit the hot spring ? Scared that it’s too warm in the afternoon .
I will be staying in seminyak , is it worth travelling there ? Any recommended method to travel there ? Should I book a private hire car ?
Written April 12, 2018
We went in the afternoon around 2pm and the weather was fine. It's best to hire a Private Driver that way you would be able to see more!

Are there any places of interest near the hotspring?
Hoping to make the 2.5hrs journey to this hotspring worthwhile.
Written March 30, 2018
The lava around is unique and there’s a nice view at the mount Batur. In a day tour you can combine it with the ricefields and coffeeplants but I wouldn’t drive there only for the hotspring.

How do I find out how much this place is to visit?
Written January 1, 2018

Is the water of the hot springs ok to get in your mouth unlike tap water in Bali? How about the shower water?
Written September 10, 2017
I wouldn't drink it but we went underwater a few times and did not get sick.
