I had a really good experience at the surf school. Sam was a wonderful and extremely patient instructor who I felt very safe with I also corresponded with Widi a few times who was very helpful too.
If you are look for a slick, exclusive and high end experience, this isn't for you. But if you want a well priced, patient instructors I wouldn't hesitate to recommend
The only thing I didn't like was being asked for money if I wanted copies of some photos taken on an iPhone. It's not a huge thing and I get people need to make a living but it did make me a little uncomfortable.

Took 3 surf lessons with green bali surf and it was great. They always have small groups (maximum 3 people) and they really try to teach surfing. Much more personal then other aurfachools with 8-9 people per instructor. Friendly and social instructors. Really good choice if you actually want lo learn som surfing. They have all the equipment, water and can take you to the beach if necessary. Jojo is a very good and social instructor. Recommend this for everyone.

Really enjoyed our 2 hr beginner lesson. The instructor was clear, gave good instructions so we both managed to stand on the board surprisingly quickly! 2 hr lesson is broken up with a break for water which was much needed. Take extra cash if you want some photos of the experience. Definitely recommended.

You definitely won't regret booking lessons with these guys -- they are excellent instructors and guarantee you will enjoy your time. Funny guys, laid back, but professional at the same time. They care a lot about their island and are happy to share their knowledge of Bali with all of their students.
I loved surfing worth these guys and will definitely be back! Thanks guys and see you when I see you! 😆

Despite the fact an elephant may have been more graceful on a surfboard than i was, this was an extremely fun experience. The instructors were really helpful (and patient) and provided us with great tips and advice. Overall a fantastic experience. One point I would make is that our hotel was a 10 minute walk from the surf site yet we got picked up by a car, driven 20 minutes to the Surf School and then had to walk another ten minutes to the site - it would have been more efficient if we had been allowed to just walk down directly to the beach.

The staff were quite friendly and were happy when we were surfing.

But, the thing that makes me absolutely not want to come back here is the fact that a few of the men who work there are flirtatious to a point that crosses a boundary which made me feel super uncomfortable. One of the men who worked there was extremely inappropriate in a way that was super uncomfortable, he also had no respect for females. This situation made me really sad because the rest of the staff actually tried really hard to make sure that we enjoyed ourselves, but unfortunately my trip was ruined by this.

The surf lessons were great. All the guys working there are nice and skillfull. We took a 3day course and had never surfed before. But we quickly learned how to stand up and make little turns in the water. The guys picked us up at our hotel and always brought us to the beach with the best waves for beginners.
We also saw an event they did for the orphans. They offer free surf lessons for them and some of the orphans do now work as surf teachers at the school. We really liked the concept!
Only downside would be, they were a little late on time sometimes. For example they picked us up 1 hour later than arranged or did not always send us emails at the time they said they would. Just keep in mind that they go on Balinese time and do not let yourself get stressed by it ;-)
But still we would recommend this surf school 100%. They also took some nice photos of us while surfing. If we will ever come to Bali again we would love to surf with them one more time! So please keep up the good work.

I am writing this review for the boys of the Bali Green Surf. They are marvelous skilled lads that seem to have had years of experience teaching the young and old to surf. All the lads there do an excellent job and they definitely have the patience and skills beyond their years. I also noticed they spend a lot of their time giving free lessons to the Orphans of Bali and helping others which I thought was wonderful to see the locals helping each other.
Please if you are in Bali, give them a call you will not be disappointed and you will definitely learn how to surf the correct way with them and have a fantastic bit of fun whilst doing it. I have learnt that even at my age (54) I can stand up on a board,I should have tried it many years ago.

I was in Bali for the first time - of course surfing was on the to do list! Bus where? There were so many offers all over the island. By chance I met the guys on the beach when they were teaching some kids. So I took my first surfing lesson.....and some more during the holiday. I had so much fun! Especially, because you not only learn to surf, but you also get to know real locals and their tradition. Far away from the mass tourism spots!
