The boat arrived one hour late. Then we had a engine failure. Then we had to refill gas and change the air filter in the middle of the ocean. Then before arriving we run out of gas just before reaching the port and we had to wait for a boat to come to refill us with gas. All of that... More

Took one-way trip from Amed to Gili Trawangan in mid-April 2017. Booked through homestay in Amed (IDR 220k/person) a day in advance. Service included pick up at the homestay in Amed area. Departed about half hour late (as per usual in Southeast Asia). The boat was a speedboat (open air with roof). Seas/skies were clear that day, so the ride... More

Everyone in Bali seems to be an agent for Pacha. So with this in mind we shopped around & got a good deal. We were picked up in the morning & taken to the offices. There for 30sh mins whilst bags were off loaded, paperwork was completed, passports, tickets etc. The boat was pretty full when we boarded but not... More

Thank you for the kind review. So happy that you appreciate the complexity of high speed (1000HP!) transfers between Bali and Lombok across one of the most treacherous straits in Asia in all weather conditions and were satisfied with the service. By the way, fast boats in Amed share passengers when not full, hence your departure with Kuda Hitam. More

Unfriendly staff, very little legroom (had to sit sideways) and extremely uncomfortable seats. No ladder to enter or exit the boat, and you have to balance along the side of the boat to get in. We departed Gili T 45 minutes late. On the way back to Amed the boat stops in Bangsal. We were stuck there for two hours... More

I'll start by saying that although the following issue I am about to describe could possibly be a one off scenario, the way the company owner handled it made me incredibly uncomfortable and allowed me to see the benefit of choosing another one of their local competitors who offer the same services with greater attention to customer satisfaction. In short,... More

From Amed i have ridden on Kuta Hitam, Pacha, Freebird Express and from other boats from Sanur too. But I was not impressed by my recent trip on Kuta Hitam the staff was grumpy and rude, the boat broke down twice, and you felt like cattle on a truck instead of a valued customers to them. When I rode on... More

They were late to pick us up at the hotel with the car, attitude was not great either. Then they dump your stuff on the beach and you better be careful if you don't want your bag to end on the wrong boat. Then the boat stopped four times (!) in the middle of the sea, for technical issues (thus... More

We waited outside our hotel for almost an hour, from the pickup time stated on our tickets and no one came, we asked our hotel staff and they said the company is often late so we continued to wait. After 9am, when the boat is meant to leave, we asked hotel staff to ring the company for us to be... More

If not, seal your luggage (otherwise be prepared to dry all clothes), forgive delays, overbooking etc. and get ready for a smelly, bumpy ride with an unhelpful crew. Last not least, be prepared to climb along the boat and carry your luggage/kids upon arrival to Gili T. Above all, do not complain and shut up or the 4 brothers running... More
