I had a ticket to enter as part of a package (worth 15 yuan), so despite thinking I didn't really need to see it after doing a lot of walking, went in anyway. Unlike most people, I do like pigeons and they were everywhere, with...More

We popped in here as we had a ticket for all main Purple Mountain sights. The amphitheater is inspired by greek architecture with stage surrounded from 180 degrees by water. The stands were patronised by many people eating lunch. Overall a nice sight but nothing...More

If there was a band or activity on the stage it would have been better. Paid extra (small amount) to walk down to the bandstand. Many people were just sitting and eating lunch.

Sun Yat-Sen's Music Stage is a relaxing area of the Mausoleum complex to go after competing with the crowds into the main Mausoleum itself. When inside, you will often be greeted by hundreds of white pigeons either circling in front of the Greek looking structure...More

We were here by Sept 2014. The ticket cost RMB$10/head. When the time we came it's Sunday therefore we saw many families. There are many pigeons flying everywhere. Many kids feed the pigeons. Suitable for family gathering on weekends. Besides that it's nothing to see.
