Jiangjun Mountain is close to Masterland compound, British school and has now close by Metro station. Nice place to hike, bbq, lasergame, boat ride and even bamboo floats. Bamboo garden/bush is nice to walk with small bridges to cross. For little children also a playground.

Another hilltop spot in Nanjing. This is near the Nanjing Industrial area. A bit difficult to visit this place for outsiders. The only way to reach here is by taxi or personal car. The parking is also quite far. You will have to walk for more than a km to reach the entry gates passing through a small village. At the gates, you can engage a 10 seater tourist vehicle which will take you around the huge park. Else, you can walk around and soak in the bliss of a quiet and serene hilltop. We engaged the vehicle which took us around. There are big lakes and the locals were out there in big hordes with their families. Plenty of tents were rigged up everywhere. Some were rafting in the water. Some were pedalling on the boats. Wonderful place and a must for family trips. A beautiful picnic spot. We were deposited at a marsh land. There is a 3 foot bamboo bridge snaking between the swamp. There are numerous huts at various places for you to rest. The other end was a huge park where there were numerous swings etc for adults too along with the children. A small pond had floating balloons which can handle 2 to 3 people inside the balloon. There were numerous other facilities for entertainment. The best way to enjoy here in my opinion is to plan for a full day outing. Take along some food with a tent or mats.
