If you would like to spend some quality time relaxing and recover - this is the place to go in Nanjing. Definitely visit "City Wall" and pagodas close to it. Decent trip take you 3-4 hours.

I stay near the Lake when I visit Nanjing. I enjoy going for walks, either with friends or by myself. It’s a big lake and depending on the seasons the scenery changes. Such a lovely place to be. Looking forward going back again.

Vast lake and park complex. Lots of typically Chinese shops, eateries and activities. Usually busy, particularly at weekends and evenings. But we'll worth a visit.

Yes... Rates depends on different kind of boats.. Boats with Pedals would cost around 50 to 60 RMB per hour. While motor boats will be 100 RMB per hour , you can also choose a bigger one if travelling with family. Be sure to... More

superyoyo, Day 5 #Should I stay at Tunxi or Tangkou? I read somewhere should stay overnight at Tunxi or Tangkou and ascend Mt Huangshan early next morning. But cannot bring luggage, can keep at hotel first. Only can bring small bag.# suggest to put up a night in Tunxi Old Town to have a glimpse of the old town set up. food is excellent ! luggage must be simple, just not to load while you move around on Huangsham. Day 6 - 7 #Ascend Mt Huangshan. Should I stay at a hotel at Mt...More

Nanjing was well worth the visit. My wife and I were only in Nanjing for a weekend, but enjoyed the experience. We arrived mid afternoon on a Friday and visited the Confuscius Temple and Fuzimiao (an interesting and diverse reange of shops). The Confuscius Temple is not really a temple but a memorial to Confuscius. Saturday: An unexpected and emotional experience was had at the Nanjing Massacre Museum. The message was clear: the Chinese people do forgive the Japanese, however they will...More

You are right and the Chinese do not forget. I know many people will just not buy a Japanese car. If you do, there is a risk that it will be vandalized, especially in places like Nanjing.

You wish to do all this in one day? I think it is physically possible but you will not see much of anything. This is more like 1.5 days.
