It looks great, right next to the hotel I was staying in, and has historical significance. However, I didn't get the chance to see anything, as they wouldn't let me in because I'm a foreigner. My Mandarin isn't perfect but I could understand when two or three behind the class talking to each other and they said I couldn't come in because I'm not Chinese. I asked, in Mandarin, why I can't go in. They replied, in Mandarin, because I'm a foreigner. I told them that's bullsh*t and they told me I need to leave. Not sure if this is policy or it was just a few people behind the glass that didn't want foreigners, but this was the cherry on top of the sh*t sundae that was my trip to Nanjing.

This place is amazing. It's also called LION HILL. There are a series of Lions or Fu Dogs that follow you on the steps. The view from the top of the Pagoda is amazing if the weather is good.
