This is a heritage site that worth visiting. Many exhibition halls showing different types of arts n historical items. Easily spent a few hours there and one can get to the top (eighth or nine floor) of the tower to get a beautiful view of the city wall and surrounding river. Entrance fee is RMB80 pp or 40 for senior of 60+ and is close to the city centre. This is really not a porcelain tower now as the original one was destroyed in the 18th century. The new tower is rather of a glass structure on steel frame. Lots of history behind this and is a pretty famous architecture (the ninth wonder) in the world. Spring and autumn time is better with flowers and green trees. Pick a sunny day and enjoy.

It is the site where the Buddha’s head cranium relic was buried after it was brought out by the Indian Buddhist monk, during that time Hindus were attacking Buddhists. The relic was unearth a few years ago, and now moved to the new location in Niushoushan Park in Nanjing, the new site is not to be missed, very very much better that this facility. I must say that I am not too impress with this venue as half of the facility is filled with merchandises and souvenirs.

I had very a little time to kill at the end of my day so I decided to go here and it was a mistake. You could easily spend half a day inside climbing the tower and slowly walking around the temple and museum. It is very large and very worth your time. Some of the Buddist exhibitions are stunning!

The place is super kitsch and doesn't look at all a temple even if you'll see here and there people praying... Worth a visit if you have a day off and you saw everything in town already.
The entrance ticket till 17.00 is 80rmb and you will all have the chance to go on the top of the pagoda; after 17.00 you wil pay 54rmb and no chance to go to the pagoda because the last elevator runs at 16.30.
It's a quick visit if you are already familiar with China and Buddhism..

Newly opened archeological site. The museum exhibits the history of the Giant Baoen Temple and the Buddhist Culture of Nanjing.

This museum is built on the original site of the historic Porcelain Tower, which is one of the 7 wonders of the medieval world. If you are interested in history, this is a must go. The museum explain about the history, cultural significance, and even the method of how this magnificent tower were built. very interesting!
