The area
Neighborhood: Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
How to get there
  • Central • 4 min walk
  • Hong Kong • 6 min walk

This was a very unpleasant experience. Me and my wife dropped in at Gao’s Caine Road for a foot massage, and they - for some reason - were unwilling to serve us, and rudely so. A couple that arrived after us was readily waved through, but we were first told to wait, and then that there was nothing available for us. (Was it a race issue, because I’m white? Certainly one did feel entirely unwelcome here. I will never go back - definitely not recommended.

We made a booking , but it didn’t seem too matter , as we had to wait 20 minutes till we got sat down ! Not impressive at all.
Then you are in a packed room with not a spare inch to turn !!! Not a pleasant experience , foot massage ok . Will find somewhere else next time.
Where they respect people booking and make it work !!!
Useless

The manager is a money grabbing fraud! He takes bookings even when therapists are not available just to get you in the door. He lies and cheats. Don’t go!

Perfectly relaxing.

Even though this is a large place with lots of guests having massages simultaneously, it maintains a peaceful atmosphere. My 50 minute foot massage was fantastically relaxing and my girlfriend also really enjoyed her shorter one coupled with a pedicure. Perfect to get out of the heat for an hour to cool down and calm down! (Though I’m not sure about the main picture which is currently showing on here for this place, which looks more like an Italian restaurant. Bizarre...)

Worth a visit to this large massage centre
Jan 2018 • Friends
Visited one weekday in the evening as recommended by a friend, it was quiet, but was surprised how big the place was with chinese ornaments & furniture dotted around, there was alot of empty reclining brown massage chairs lined up in an open room, I expect the place gets busy during the weekends. I chose the 65min body massage, so was led to a small room at the back. The chinese massage was average, however I will visit again to try another masseure.

great foot, back and neck massage

i went three times during my stay. The address had been recommended to me by a local expat working here. I loved the athmosphere, the tea they serve you, and the dedication to the massage itself. The massage person who took care of me, Zion, is very precise and intense. I started with a foot massage 65 mins and took the other times what they call body massage so that you decide where you want them to massage.
The price for 65 mins is around 48 dollars.

Shanghai Pedicure

I didnt have a foot massage so my review is purely on the shanghai pedicure. Clean, fast and a great result i feel like i have new baby soft feet. A relaxing haven away from the bustle of the streets but come at quieter times not the weekends when its too busy.

The worst foot massage ever!!
Sep 2017 • Couples
Having lived in China for a year, and had numerous foot massages, Gao's foot massage company is the worst I have ever had. We arrived at Gao's and were promptly given an appointment, we were looking forward to a relaxing massage, but it was far from that! Firstly the entire atmosphere for the massage was wrong. There was a big room, with as many massage chairs stuck close to each other as possible, probably being a Sunday, the place was packed with people. The masseurs were walking all over the place, serving tea and water to the customers, some customers were on their phones and were talking to each other. This probably gave a sense to the masseurs that they could do the same. Ours were talking to each other most of the time. Basically, it felt like I was having a foot massage in a fish market, even the soothing music they played was drowned out with the noise. The foot massage was okay, but nothing great, for the price they charge. No one offered us tea after the massage or even asked us how the massage was. We were very very disappointed. Highly recommend to save your hard earned money and do not visit this place!

A must in every visit a make to HK

Great experience and very professional staff. We were a party of 4 and they were able to accommodate us together. They massaged the back and neck before starting on the foot to lighten your neck so you can enjoy the massage. You can ask for the masseuse to rub softer or harder on the foot depending on your sensitivity. It was very relaxing experience. My legs and feet felt lighter after the massage. It is accustomed to tip at the end.
