Bad first mosque experience
Jul 2019 • Couples
When I entered the mosque I was told that I had to go up the stairs to the right, because I'm a woman, but men were going up both the right and left staircases. Worse, I snuck a quick peak at the men's prayer hall which was spacious with chandeliers set into domes in the ceiling and pillars throughout. Because I'm a woman I couldn't enter and had to go to the women's prayer hall which is hideous. If you are a woman I wouldn't recommend visiting this place. It is segregated and clearly unequal.

Kowloon Mosque in heart of Tsim Sha Tsui
Jun 2019 • Family
We will always drop by the mosque on our visits to HK (5 times now). Great to see Muslims of different nationalities gather with one intention - to pray. Mosque is air-conditioned throughout. There are some old folks/people asking for alms outside the mosque, especially after Friday prayers. I'm happy that the people of HK respect and understand the differences in religious beliefs. HK will be our short getaway destination from now on!

Nice for photo taking only

One of the few mosques in Hong Kong. Nothing much to explore or see. Just good for photo taking of the mosque from outside.

Mosque in the busiest centre of Tsim Sha Tsui
Feb 2019 • Family
Alhamdulillah, we had opportunity to visit and pray at this mosque. Good facilities with big prayer hall. A lot of activities for muslims and a place for us to take rest after wholeday tour in TST. The mosque is at the left of TST MTR exit A1 and near to Kowloon Park. Tips: there is a Pakistani sell briyani and kebab after prayer time infront of the mosque with reasonable price. HK30 for briyani and HK30 for 2 kebabs.

Central mosque
Sep 2018 • Couples
The central mosque in Kowloon. Worth a pop in when visiting the park and surrounding area. As it’s a typical mosque there is not a great deal inside.

Visit to the grand Kowloon Mosque during Chinese New Year
Feb 2018
The mosque was a hive of activity during the Chinese New Year Holidays. Besides worshipping in the mosque, there was also also plenty of activity at the nearby Kowloon Park. Definitely the biggest mosque in Hong Kong/Kowloon. Hawker food is plentiful around the mosque.

The Only Mosque at Centre of the City
Jun 2018 • Friends
Its a busy mosque. I found out, most of the Muslims are from Indonesia and Pakistan. I drop by for Asar prayer here once during my travel. From what I saw. This Mosque is managed by the Pakistanis people. There is a water dispenser at the entrance door. You can refill your water bottle, mineral water is very expensive in Hong Kong.

During my stay in Hong Kong. I saw Pakistanis are the only people who like to fight and quarrel between each other. Even at this mosque, I witnessing them from far after my prayer. I felt quite a shame as a Muslims. The Prophet Muhammad said as a Muslims we should show the best of our 'akhlak' or attitude towards other religion/ people and be a good example.

Cheers~

Ustaz was not very nice
May 2017 • Friends
It was marketed as an Islamic Centre 8 yrs ago. I didnt know it was a mosque as well & in my mind was traditional architecture of the mosque. I was wearing a 3/4 sleeve dress with tights, it was not skimpy. I went with 2 other friends. Upon the 1st step into the mosque, the ustaz just roared & screamed at me & pointed in my face that I wasnt dressed appropriately. If I've known it was a mosque, obviously I wldnt entered it wearing that dress. I've met many ustaz in my life & they are very very very nice even when pointing out a mistake. It was very UnIslamic of him, that even scarred me for life...& actually I felt embarrassed for him, cos he is an ustaz. And you know what, we didnt get to eat there & didnt bothered coming back.

Nice mosque
Oct 2017 • Family
the Kowloon Mosque and Islamic centre is located on the corner of Haiphong Road and Nathan Road. It is the largest mosque in Hong Kong and is over a hundred years old.

It has a capacity for about 3,500 worshippers.

This is a good meeting point for anyone. It is next to a metro line exit.

The architecture is quite attractive.
