Neighborhood: Tsim Sha Tsui
Tsim Sha Tsui is one of the major tourist and shopping areas of Hong Kong. With a high concentration of hotels, retail shops and commercial offices – it’s a busy and bustling neighborhood that never sleeps. On the surface, Tsim Sha Tsui seems to only feature an abundant number of high-end retail stores selling designer brands and jewelry, owing to its popularity with high-budget shopping tours. However, it also contains a diverse range of attractions for the entire family. Whether taking a walk in Kowloon Park, exploring museums, going shopping or grabbing a bite to eat – Tsim Sha Tsui has something for everyone.

One of the best resources for planning visits to Hong Kong is the HK Tourism Board - Discover Hong Kong website. I recommend spending adequate time on this website prior to all visits so that you can best understand what events, performances, exhibitions, fairs and festivities are taking place during the time of your visit to HK.
Once you arrive in Hong Kong, you can also visit the Tourism Board locations at the airport arrival halls, HZMB Hong Kong Port, West Kowloon Station, The Peak and this office at the Star Ferry terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui (TST). Here you can ask questions of knowledgeable staff who speak good English and can help you with pretty much anything you might need.

We found this office and staff there most helpful to us. Half of the staff are volunteers goodwill ambassador who have a love for their city and the pride shows. The staff assisting us seemed very ready to customize inteneraries according to the tastes of the traveler. They knew about all the obscure aspects of out of the way attractions. I would recommend stopping here although it is just a tad hard to find the first time.

We came here to find out what events were taking place over the Chinese New Year. The staff here are super friendly and helpful. They recommended that we see a traditional lion dance at a nearby hotel, which we never would have known about had they not told us, which turned out to be one of the most memorable parts of our trip. We were given New Years goodie bags, tokens for discounts for the sky100 and a website for further discounts on various activities. Excellent service.

We arrived at HKIA and went to the Tourist Board desk for help. From which tickets to get for the trains, to walking around to so many things... the staff were great. When I expressed concern about protests, they introduced me to HK Travel Buddy on the Line messenger app. What an amazing tool: I could ask what areas of town to avoid, where to buy vinly records etc. It made my stay in HK so much more enjoyable! Wonderful!

We went in there a number of times and the staff were always so helpful and made sure we went out happy. One lady even went to great lengths to find what the address was of the school that my husband went to back in 1947 and how we could get there. Also recommended some great restaurants for us to check out on the harbour front in Kowloon, so we could choose where to go to celebrate my husband's 80th birthday.

We added HK travel buddy as a friend via LINE, which works just like whatsapp, before the trip. It was heartwarming when you get greetings on the day of your arrival/departure.
Theiy respond swift and gave us advices on where to visit considering the rally information. I would recommend you to visit or at least contact them to maximize your travel.

I arrived in HK in December, was a bit worried about the protest situation. One staff at the Hong Kong Tourism Board introduced me the online service they have onLine, which provided live service to answer any questions. They did give me very good suggestions about when and where to go during my stay there. And I have to say HK is much safer and more stable than I had expected. I will definitely come back again.

It was my first visit to Hongkong I didn’t know from e where you start. Luckily I was warmly welcomed by the tourism board agents who were extremely helpful. They professionally but yet friendly explained me how things are working here in Hongkong. They helped me to get the octopus card, connected me to the chat HK travel buddy and even helped planning my visit!

As you walk through the customs control area at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) and just before you enter the arrival waiting hall, you have an opportunity to visit a very good Hong Kong Tourism Board office. Here you can pick up HK maps or brochure information related to HK events or holiday activities. You can also talk to very kind representatives in English, Cantonese or Mandarin to ask anything that might help inform better prepare you for a good trip in HK.
Compared to Tourism information centers in other countries, the HK Tourism Board does a good job to make themselves visible, easy to find and do serve a good purpose. We recommend a quick stop at the Hong Kong Tourism Board office at the HKIA airport. However, there are several additional locations around Hong Kong in popular tourist areas like the Star Ferry and The Peak so if you miss the one at the airport, you have other opportunities to visit and stock up on maps and information.

I booked 2 nights with my friend from 7/1 with Toms guest house and paid the money for 2 people, but I was refused to stay if I could not go alone. There is no refund.
Is this legal in Hong Kong?

I am not sure you require the use of wheelchair or not or just using a walker.
Most public places like shopping malls, shops, restaurants have elevator or escalator. Some of the subway line doesn't have elevator, so do check before using the system. The ferry pier doesn't have steps. Crossing busy street intersections may require going up and down the pedestrian bridges. Some are accessible by elevators instead of steps. Carry Kleenex with you all the time because some public washroom doesn't provide toilet paper. I am not sure public washroom is wheelchair accessible or not.
If you are going on tour with a guide, I am sure your guide will have the information, instead of you doing the try and error. If you are going on your own, it may be helpful to get more information from the Hong Kong Tourist information.
