Uptown Plaza is a shopping centre connected to the Tai Po Market MTR Station. It is fairly modern with around 70 shops and restaurants. There is an expected range of mid-range retailers, fast-food and casual places to eat. Opening hours are roughly 10am to around 9 or 10pm nightly.
For a larger and more comprehensive shopping venue in Tai Po, go to Mega Mall around 10 minutes walk north. Otherwise, it is fine to visit Uptown Plaza if you intend to be at MTR Station and the bus terminus while in Tai Po.

Conveniently next to train station with good shops as other reviews mentioned but not a place I'd like to come to on my own with a buggy (or wheelchair).
The only lift up into the mall is 20-odd steps up from the station exit. There is a sign with a local phone number to call when you reach these stairs but I hadn't got a HK phone and there wasn't an assistance bell. The lift goes to the different floors and ends up in the car park if you're wanting to reach the top floor restaurant.

Uptown Plaza is right next to Tai Po Market MTR station and a large minibus terminal. It has plenty of shops and restaurants of every price range. Nothing really special but it's a good base to explore the area.

Big mall and spacious walkway. Lots of branded stores and not so packed. If you want to avoid crowds in TST or Mongkok, come here to shop. Mall is linked to the train station and sheltered.

Very convenient to get to. People gather here for the yum cha at the mega restaurants. Its location is so convenient, you don't have to get wet when it rains while spending time in Tai Po.
Shopping outlets are local non descript boutiques and chain personal stores.

Transportation to this shopping centre is convenient, just take East Rail MTR and arrive Tai Po Station. The shopping centre is adjacent to the station, you ride the escalator at the front of the station. The shopping centre is not large but it have different variety of shops for basic requirements including good, electrical appliances, clothes and cosmetics except department stores. It targets on local consumers. For visitors, it may be better to go to Shatin Plaza or Taipo Mega Mall.

Just outside the Tai Po Market MTR station Exit A1, you will find an escalator leading upwards into a commercial and retail shopping centre called Uptown Plaza. Just look for the sign above the covered escalator. The mall is open from 10am to 9.30pm.
This is a small shopping mall of sorts with a few fast food restaurants like McDonalds and KFC, retail shops and Watsons for consumable products. In short, this is a fair shopping location for residents who live in the area but it not a place visitors to target for shopping while in HK.
There is a larger shopping mall in Tai Po that you can reach from the next MTR Station called Tai Po Mega Mall. Two MTR stops south at Sha Tin, you also have the large New Town Plaza Shopping Mall, another option that is better suited for those seeking better shopping venues.
