Largest shopping mall in East Kowloon
Sep 2021
Mega Box is mall on Wang Chui Street in Kowloon Bay. It is the large bright orange coloured building and the largest shopping venue in East Kowloon. The mall is open from 10am to 10pm and is sectioned into zones with dedicated shopping, dining and entertainment businesses.

Within Mega Box, you'll find a handful of fashion, accessories and related brand names, mostly on the lower floors. There is a AEON department store in this area as well. The mall includes a large scale IKEA and shops focusing house decorations, appliances and furnishing. There is a large GigaSports, food court and range of casual & family restaurants. You'll find a cinema, ice-rink and Children's World play zone as well.

It is a big mall and probably one of the most interesting for families with children in need of entertainment and something to do indoors on bad weather days. The mall is slightly isolated from the nearest MTR Station but there is a shuttle from the Kowloon Bay Station to/from the mall. Otherwise, the mall is serviced by a range of bus services from around Kowloon or you can just walk there from MTR Station (8-10 minutes).

Noisy and chaotic
Apr 2019 • Family
Megabox was a hip shopping mall at the revamped Kowloon Bay area. It is a huge place with lots of facilities for children. However, it is now very overcrowded with kids running and screaming everywhere. Most of the shops are furniture stores without much characteristics. The restaurants have also declined and food is mediocre. There is no reason to visit this mall again.

Huge Mall
Mar 2018 • Couples
Mega Box is a huge mall, which houses plenty of mutli-brand shops, restaurants, movie theater, ice skating ring etc., Did some shopping on sale, a good bargain deal. Mall has elevators and escalators till top floor. The long escalator at higher floor is impressive. It is suitable to families and one can spend several hours. The mall also offers free shuttle service to nearby mtr station.

Big mall
Apr 2017 • Family
Mage box is a big mall with outlet, aeon and ikea. It is suitable for families and friends going.
The shops inside sell some special items that wont be sold in the other areas. There are more variety. So it is nice to shop there.
They offer free shuttle bus to connect the mtr station. The queue is rather long most of the time on weekend and public holiday.

Ice skate
Jan 2017 • Couples
For me this is just an average shopping mall! An only extra is the ice skate ring what is a hockey field size. Relatively cheap and they sell 4 hour sessions, skate rental included in the price! Make sure you go before 7 pm cos at nights they have hockey games!

We are decided to have a go at MegaBox as it touted to be a “mega-shopping’ experience. It is indeed a large shopping centre, located at 38 Wang Chiu Road, the largest shopping centre in Eastern Kowloon.Kowloon Bay, Kowloon.
Getting here quite ok, we walked 15 mins from KL station. With a conspicuous brighr read façade MegaBox houses an ice rink, MegaIce, which is the largest in Hong Kong. However they are not many fashion wear shops inside.. AS it is a top retail building there are long queus to take lift up, with the alternative being the many escalators in bewteen.
To be frank it has quite some tenants, Japanese eateries, Deli and Confectioneries (Starbucks & Oaciufic Coffee) and some Chinese Restaurants.
Just find the tenant mixed a bit out; it might have try to bring in Familly concept in a single building; there is a kids play zone, a AEON for the groceries and a Cinema. May not be that alluring for tourists like us. .
HK is abuzz with many other better shopping malls and Megabox probably stands out as a Surban one thas away from the crowds of TST or Central). On the way back we took the shuttle bus to Kowloon Bay MTR station. Frankly we find shopping at the KL 九龍灣 station Telford Mall more interesting… haha.

Huge building - shops to 18th floor
Nov 2016 • Friends
These buildings are fascinating - not least because floors for parking and deliveries by trick are on high levels. There is car parking up to floor 16! The central area with huge escalators is impressive. Ikea has an outlet on 2 floors

Plenty of choice of dining and shops . Adequate toilets. Great skating rink. Parking on weekends is a real challenge.
