This is definitely a place not to visit during the day, we visited one weekday morning, Lan Kwai Fong was lifeless, had no atmosphere, the only colour and life was the stall selling beautiful flowers. Luckily we had only planned as a walk-by on our...More

This is a fun place if you are looking for something to do at night. There are plenty of bars and restaurants. The streets are blocked off to traffic and lots of people walking around, singing, dancing, and just having fun. Some ladies wore high...More

LKF has become a cheap area with too many ‘aggresive’ proppers trying to get you inside. This makes the place less desirable and much more cheap. The old atmosphere is gone where one could have an easy drink on the street. Now bars are trying...More

A great place to have a drink, something to eat and meet some of the people who call Hong Kong home. Every night of the week you will find the place buzzing.

Is the most famous bar street in Hong Kong, but not the best. Catered towards overpaying tourist. Area is shrinking and lost its glory.

When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies
with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The
area widely known as Central is the major financial
hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up
to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open
late into the night and there just happens to be a
street party every weekend. Although everything seems
to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of

You can drink at 18 (legal) - In HK they are not really strict about serving alcohol. In most places they don't even check IDS

Hi! My friends and I are going to HK in a few months. I just wanna know what clubs (in Lan Kwai Fong) are best for foreigners and are there payments for the entrances for the clubs? Thanks

It depends a little, sadly, on the colour of your skin. And why limit yourself to LKF? That's a tiny fraction of HK's nightlife.

Hi, My husband and I are both 28 and fany a night out in Lan Kwai Fong when we visit Hong Kong in September. Just a few questions: - We know it is an expensive area but are there any places that do happy hour and what times? - Any reccomended bars/clubs in the area (we like most music but particularly hip hop and chart music, mostly me :) - Is there a dress code?

I am not much of a bar/club hopper but the rule is find the more crowded places for the atmosphere. On weekends, the crowd spill into the streets. Dragon-i, Drop and Volar are some of the clubs frequently mentioned. You might want to dress smart (clubbing clothes). The area is packed with mostly expats, and they dress pretty well for the night out. It doesn't mean you have to dress with a shirt and a tie. There is nothing wrong with jeans and t-shirt, but you just have to look right for...More

It's going to be crowded but I would say you probably could. The thing to do is to group them in specific areas and do them at the same time. If I was going to miss anything out it would be Stanley market. That's just me mind you, I don't like it very much, and it's quite a way out. There's also the avenue of stars, I've never I stood the fascination with this. I've walked along it and it took me about five minutes, largely because I don't care much about stars :-). The symphony of lights...More
