Honk Kong has a great airport. You just enter Terminal 2 and are greeted with the sprawling SkyPlaza, which, in addition to the check in counters for this terminal, is full of stores, entertainment establishments (including an IMAX movie theater always showing one of the latest box office hits), and restaurants. You can easily while away a few hours here without even realizing it. Once you're done in terminal 2 (if you're flying with one of the few airlines that have check in here, then once you've checked in), head over to Terminal 1 (to check in, for most airlines) and to pass through security and customs (for all airlines, no matter in which terminal you've checked in). After you get past security/passport control, you'll have plenty more stores to visit -- and these are duty-free, unlike the ones in Terminal 2. If your plane is boarding at one of the farther gates, keep in mind it may be a 20-min walk (or even more, depending how fast you walk), so keep that in mind while shopping so you're not late for boarding.…

Having travelled to a few airports in my time, this one is no different in fact many expensive watch, clothes, cosmetics and clothing shops. It's clean but is always hustling and bustling as you'd expect Still if you have an hour or two to waste you could do worse...

Excellent and neat terminal. Efficient and speedy to get things sorted and on you go. Well designed indeed. A further expansion to a full services terminally like T1 will enhance its efficiency

Terminal 2 is rather small and unfortunately, Jet airways flies from here. One blessing is that the place is less crowded and security check, immigration etc happens in a jiffy. One drawback though, is that the shopping area as well as the restaurant area is rather small. So, if you want to shop, I would recommend that you do it at the main area near your boarding gates after the immigration. There is nothing to pick or chose at the sky plaza, which is the shopping area of terminal 2. Except maybe a quick bite.…

SkyPlaza refers to the shopping area found in Terminal 2 of the Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) where you can find basically a small shopping mall or centre of shops, dining and entertainment facilities. If for some strange reason, you didn't get your fill of shopping during your stay in Hong Kong, SkyPlaza provides you a last chance to spend whatever HKD you have remaining before your outbound flight. At SkyPlaza You can find the expected travel luggage and accessories, toys, books, beauty and health products, business, sports and casual wear, electronics, newsstand, Forrex, food court, coffee shops and sit down restaurant facilities. To be honest, we don't find shopping here worth seeking out and might actually suggest looking into entertainment that is available here instead. There is an interesting Aviation Discovery Centre and an IMAX cinema that might be worth checking out. Note: For more information on what is available at Sky Plaza, visit the Hong Kong International Airport website page for Terminal 2 Shopping, Dining and Entertainment.…
