Shui Long Wo is located along Sai Sha Road just south of the Three Fathoms Cove between Ma On Shan and Sai Kung. This is a location where you find BBQ sites, the start of the MacLehose Trail Section #4 trailhead and a short 600 metre Kei Ling Ha Tree Walk.
One of the interesting things to see at the BBQ site near the northern end of the Kei Ling Ha Tree Walk is the Star Lookout Structure. This is an imitation of the 13th-century ancient astronomical observatory in Gaocheng Town in Henan for the purpose of observing shadows cast by the sun to determine the duration of the tropical season. This is a 6-metre temple shaped structure that you can walk up to a rooftop with views pointed due north. For local intents and purpose, the structure is used for watching stars at night.
There is an information panel on the side of the Star Lookout to help explain what you are looking at and to provide historical reference to this structure within the Kei Ling Ha Tree Walk BBQ Site area.
