My visit was during the Mid-Autumn Festival, so it was not a surprise that this place was busy and crowded. However, despite the crowds, this is a wonderful place to visit, especially at night when the lights are on. There is a lot to see...More

You can buy everything here. Use your haggling skills and you can strike a good deal. (Have to know Chinese though) You have various options for Street food and the view during night is amazing. You can get a glimpse of the other side of...More

The light makes it much better especially for photos, etc. During the day, it’s just a bunch of old houses. The food options are ok, but feels a bit touristy.

Certainly busy with everyone out we'll into the evening during this Golden Week evening. Autumn is a good time to visit Chongqing as the stifling heat of the summer has passed and the milder conditions mean one can walk about in a reasonable degree of...More

Great place to spend some free time looking for bargains at the markets. Very pretty at night when it is all lit up as is the whole area along both sides of the river.

This alley of moderately cheap small stalls / restaurants selling traditional spicy Sichuan food is located on the 4th floor of the seriously magnificent Hongyadong Building (also known as Hongya cave) which overlooks the Jialing River (close to the confluence with Yangtze) in the downtown...More

Nice hotel with view on suspension bridge and river, near cable to cross. Good location.Always chose for room with river view, otherwise you look at rocks you almost can touch.

There are a lot of small shops selling tourist souvenirs, but our favourite is the Japanese place on Level 9/10 (can't remember) for lunch! Great views of the river and the boats.

Allot an evening for here. Its a beautiful place that you can easily spend a few hours wandering about. Its a lot bigger than it initially appears. Spend some time shopping and come hungry because the stalls on the higher floors have some tasty foods....More

It's a night venue. Don't go in the day. A bit tacky and very touristy, but looks like might be worth a try when the sun goes down and the lights come on. We went in the afternoon... nothing happening.
