This escalator makes for some excellent time lapse videos. Had to go up and down a few times to get it just right, but got some nice memories from here. The entrance at the top and the exit at the bottom are a reminder that Chongqing is still a bit rough around the edges (gritty, grimy et al) and hasn't fully evolved yet, but I guess that's part of the charm of this city.

Wauw, what an escalator. Luckily we arrived and left here at the bus terminal and the train station and we could use this unique escalator twice.
For just 2b it brings you conveniently from the lower level of bus terminal/train station all the way up to the metro station Lianglukou (Subway lines 1 & 2). Very helpful and cheap.
To find the entry: if you watch towards rail ticket counters and on your left is the railway station, go right towards this walkway tunnel through this food stands. There you‘ll find the entrance on the end.
Otherwise show this 大扶梯 or the pictures.

As seen in the photos, this area has the longest of the escalator. We can use our subway card here, there's a lot of people during traffic.

This escalator connects the Lianglukou metro to the area below - like the Caiyuanba transport facilities. Yet the bottom part is not so easy to find and it closes quite early in the evening - check the timings. This part of Chongqing is not so interesting as compared to the upper entrance.
You also have the operator reminding you to hold on to the rails and not take photos. Yes - it's a 112m fall - if you slip.
As of writing, the Caiyuanba entrance is in front of the 7 days hotel, white framed without any signage - see photo. Go down the entrance and the escalator entry point will appear after a while.
There's a narrow staircase nearby in case the escalator is not working. From both ends, it's a bit tricky to find this - good luck.
