A 12 lane road in center Beijing. Going from west to east . Getting to the Tiananmen Square and the gate to the forbidden city , many governmental buildings .

I suspect many higher ratings are due to the fact that it is the street where the famous Mao photo is and it is the street connected to Tiananmen, but ultimately it is a street which is pleasant to walk down, but in of itself is not that special aside from a little history.

This is the road directly in front of Tiananmen Gate. A very wide thoroughfare, it's many lanes are normally filled with traffic. Located along and near the street are Tiananmen Square, central Government buildings, The National Museum, National Centre for the Performing Arts and banks. Because of its sensitive location, trucks and freight vehicles are banned day and night and no commercial advertising is allowed on the street.…

Was a wonderful day . Lots of people around but still able to move around with easy . Warm day so take water . And sunscreen .
