This tour was jam packed, from one place to the next and it really helps if you are on limited time and if you want to see the highlights of Beijing. We started the day at Tiananmen square and then we crossed under the road to the Forbidden City. The history of both these sights were explained in detail and we felt that we spent enough in both places before heading out to the Great Wall. It was about an hour or so drive however with the stops included this took a lot longer. We first stopped at a silk factory where the woman whizzed through a demonstration and then follows you around the store to in the hope that you will buy something. Still, we found a simple 'No, we are ready to move on' was fine by our guide and we then headed to the Jade Factory where lunch was provided. Once again, the demonstration was over within 2 minutes and we are followed around by the employees. There was some nice jade artefacts here which was good to see, then we were given lunch which was quite boring, still it wasn't the worst meal we have had. We then arrived at the Great Wall which was fantastic, however we were on limited time at this point which was a little disappointing, but we still had a lot of fun walking up the wall and climbing the steps. On the way home we were made to stop at a tea house which was the nicest of all the tourist traps however the pressure to make a purchase remains. We were dropped back off to our hotel afterwards and overall we would say that we enjoyed the day and got to experience a little bit of everything, the only down side was having to stop at multiple tourist traps, just make sure you say NO because you can find all of the advertised items anywhere in Beijing. Overall we enjoyed the tour, recommend for anyone wanting to tick off a few items of the bucket list.

We enjoyed am awesome experience climbing the great wall, taking in a wonder of the world and imagining the sacrifice and commitment of those who built the wall. We walked up to the top fortress - take your time its worth the work. The imperial tomb was interesting as well as the jade factory and tea house - a great way to experience authentic Chinese tea. We took a private tour (three adults) in a mini-van; our guide Grace spoke very good english and our driver was very nice. They were very knowledgeable and we got to know them on a personal level as well as guests. They seem to love Canadians.

Our experience was great! The tour was arranged by our hotel, and our tour guide, Liu, and driver picked us up at the hotel. We first stopped at a jade factory, that was on the way to the Great Wall, to learn about jade carving. From there we went to the Mutianyu section of the wall which was breathtaking. It was also crowd free. We hiked the Great Wall for a couple of hours, after which we went to a local tea house and learned how to make traditional Chinese tea. Our overall experience was amazing! We are so glad we booked this tour. There is no way we could have done a day trip like this on our own. Additionally, since we did a private tour, it was entirely flexible to what we wanted to do.

We had a great experience! Our guide, Liu, was very friendly and gave us a lot of information in perfect English. The great wall was a bucket list item we had to visit. Very impressive to finally see it! We also visited the Ming tombes and the sacred way. Over all we had a great day, learning about Chinese history and culture. Thanks Liu for the great tour, and thanks to your driver for the match of badminton 😄 I would highly recommend! Tim&Thalia
