We chose to take this tour as it was less "touristy" than the closer option. We were not disappointed! Jenny was very professional and friendly at the same time. She took excellent care of 6 different groups with different abilities and tour goals and everyone seemed to enjoy the day. She gave us great background history and offered some language tips as well. Her English was more than adequate. The lunch was a bit disappointing just because it was very westernized and Asked much of the spice and flavor of Chinese cooking. We would definitely use Jenny again if we had the opportunity

I'd originally contacted Bruce Beijing Tour for a private tour out to Mutianyu Great Wall but since he was fully booked, he'd referred me to Martin where we were very happy with the services provided. The transport vehicle was clean and modern and Martin's English was excellent which helps. The drive from Beijing city to Mutianyu took approximately 2 hours. We left first thing in the morning at 7:30am in order to avoid the big crowds. When we arrive at Mutianyu, Martin sorted out the shuttle bus and cable car tickets for us which was handy. Then he left us to explore on our own. The great thing about a private tour is that you don't have to follow the rest of the group, there's flexibility and you can do what you like for as long as you want. I'd highly recommend you visit first thing in the morning as it started to get really quite busy when we started to leave about noon. After about 3 hours up on the Great Wall, we came back down and met with Martin again where he took us to a local restaurant (not a touristy one) and we enjoyed a nice Chinese meal that isn't overly priced. We were travelling with our toddler too so a hassle-free tour was what we were looking for and that's what we got. Overall, a great tour and we definitely recommend Martin as a tour guide in Beijing. Thanks Martin!

I am currently traveling in Beijing and needed a private car/driver to take me to the Great Wall Mutianyu. I found Martin through another site and had an excellent experience! Look no further! He has a new car (black Toyota) that is spotless and he drives very safely. He speakers excellent English and is prompt, efficient, and very friendly. The total 8 hour tour to Muitanyu was very fairly priced at 700 RMB. He picked me up from the Waldorf Astoria at 7:30am and we were at the Great Wall at 9am. I hiked until 2 pm while he waited for me. We were back in Beijing by 3:30pm. He gave me a cell phone for me to contact him at any time. He helped me purchase my ticket at Muitanyu. Martin is very personable. We talked about Beijing and what sites to see and he was helpful in explaining the city map and how to access destinations. Moreover, he is a very good person. You are in safe hands! I would not hesitate to use him again. I am on a tour with Tauck and have passed on his contact info to other group members for future trips.
