About
he tomb of the imperial eunuch Tian Yi. The grounds are pleasant, quiet and clean. His tomb, which is underground, can be visited. There's also a small museum area that documents the history and daily life of eunuchs in China. The exhibit's all in Chinese, but the few items on display, including a statue illustrating the rather gory castration process and a preserved mummy. Again there is hardly anyone there.

The old tomb of a famous eunuch. It would be better come with some friends together or you might not dare to go inside the tomb.

Fascinating insight into the Eunuchs of Imperial China.

Hard to find. Possible by Metro/bus but easier by Taxi with Chinese address and some persistence! Well preserved Tomb Complex. Excellent collection of inscriptions in (Classical) Chinese if you have a scholar in your party! Museum contains a model of the horrible procedure, some surgical implements and interesting photographs and illustrations. Good depiction of an elderly kyphotic eunuch, his tall stature and hunched back the result of his altered physiology due to testosterone lack and consequent osteoporosis. Also belongings gifted by the last imperial eunuch who died not very long ago. All captions in Chinese only.

Eunuch tombs with no tourists and outstanding carvings
May 2016
Ming tombs of important eunuchs, including the influential Tian Yi. Interesting place with good marble sculptures and outstanding carvings and others surprising (would you be able to find the carved penises?). Two of the tombs can be accessed and there is a little eunuch museum. I did not pay any ticket and there were only 4 local tourists on a blue sky sunday during my visit.
