We were a group of twelve older travelers who planned our own itinerary around China..we found Jane on the Internet and chose her because her major in college was Chinese history..all e-mails to her, prior to going to Beijing, were promptly answered..we, of course, wanted to see and do everything..Jane explained that this was a wish list and could be done depending on how much time we spent in each place..eventually we managed to do most of the things, including some shopping!. Jane takes her work seriously..she is a enthusiastic, punctual, hard working, and flexible..a great combination of assets..her enthusiasm is infectious and we enjoyed being with her..thank you Jane..we look forward to meeting you again, some day.

We were 4 older people who took a chance and booked with John ma,and we were not disappointed. We arranged for John(although we didn't know if John or his wife would turn up)to pick us up from the Hotel at 9 am,we had asked to go to the Gt Wall at Mutyanu and if we had time the Summer Palace.Well as it worked out we didn't have enough time, but we did manage to fit in a tour of the Hutongs on a rickshaw(this was not included in the price)if you left this out,and started a bit earlier you could fit in the Summer palace. However,we had a very pleasant journey to the Wall and John came with us and explained the history etc, without getting too much into the facts, just enough to enlighten us.We went up on the cable car and down on the toboggan(a must do).In the afternoon we went for lunch and to a place where they make cloisonne, fascinating, and you don't have to buy anything.Unfortunately the lunch was not to our taste, but each to his own,it hardly cost anything anyway. The traffic returning to Beijing was terrible and it took far longer than anticipated, but that wasn't John's fault. All in all,a very pleasant day spent in pleasant company.John charged us 1000 yuan, almost exactly £100,which for four of us was money well spent,he speaks good english and you won't regret choosing him.Thank you John.

My husband and I not only had a fabulous tour of Beijing but we lucked out on finding the 2 best personal tour guides in China- Jane Yin and her husband John Ma. Well versed in Chinese history, we learned more from these two people in a very interactive way as opposed to any group tour guide. Prompt, flexible, excellent command of English, and a motto of "we aim to give you the best experience possible", I would highly recommend these two guides. John not only drove us to the airport for our departure, but he parked the car and personally took us to the departure gate to make sure there would be no confusion!! We noted that he was a very safe driver. Their rates were more than reasonable and the level of service exceptional. They made sure we saw sites away from the usual tour traps. We hope to send some of our family members on a tour with them in the near future. Job well done, Jan and John!! Many thanks Ken and Connie Magura USA
