Morning Mubus Tour to the Mutianyu Great Wall

894 reviews
The Great Wall of China is an ancient fortification, more than 13,000 miles (21,000 kilometers) in length—it’s also China’s top attraction. Parts of the wall are in poor condition or else crowded with visitors. But, on this guided tour, you get to visit the quieter, under-the-radar Mutianyu section, which has also undergone a complete restoration.

I heard this was a nice venue back in the days of the Olympics so I wanted to check it out. I went there by myself and found it completely empty. Not wanting to go back home empty-handed, I investigated why it was closed and learned it is only used during concerts. Since then, I’ve actually been to a couple of concerts and it was not all that great. Many things were built here for the Olympics but after the games they kind of just let things go downhill. This center is one of them. People rave about it but if you’ve been to any venue of this nature in the U.S., the MasterCard center just isn’t that great.
