Qing helped us plan a bespoke 9 day tour of Beijing and the rather remote, ancient town of Datong.

The guides, Ms Leng and Ms Le Le, were treasure troves of local history, some of the best we’ve had in China. The drivers were professional and kept their cars spotlessly clean. We felt safe and well taken care of throughout.

There were some hiccups during the initial planning stages where the company appeared to misplace our itinerary. However, they were also extremely helpful and patient in helping us figure out payment (some rather challenging foreign currency restrictions from Covid remain). The tour itself also went off without a hitch.

Overall highly recommended.

If you are looking to visit the Forbidden City, this is the tour for you. It was very difficult to reserve and make reservations online as they are always booked out for the full week so this tour group will help you get admission on a short notice. We were led by Miko who is a very knowledgable tour guide. Be ready to learn a lot about the Forbidden City as he seems to be an AI who can talk about all its history with great detail. He definitely added color to all the buildings we saw (pun intended), otherwise we wouldn’t know better about any of them. We also loved his tongue-in-cheek style of commentary. Thank you very much.

Today we had a wonderful tour of the Forbidden City with Vivien. She was very knowledgeable and definitely knows how to keep our attention for the whole time with a lot of interesting facts and stories. She is very passionate about her job and she made us passionate about what we learnt today too. Thank you very much Vivien! We had a great day

My wife and I recently enjoyed a private day trip to the Summer Palace, guided by the wonderful Susan. Susan's extensive knowledge about the history and intricate details of the palace was truly impressive. She provided us with rich insights that brought the place to life. What stood out the most was Susan's flexibility. She effortlessly tailored the tour to our interests and pace, making sure we had a personalized and enjoyable experience. Susan’s ability to adapt and her deep understanding of the Summer Palace made our visit both informative and delightful. Highly recommended!

We loved the 4-hour walking tour of Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City! Our guide Anson was extremely knowledgeable about the history, helpful, and spoke excellent English. The tour made it really easy to get into both sites with no line waiting, and both sites now require advance reservation and passport checks for foreigners. Highly recommended tour and special thanks to Anson!

Although we only had a short time to spend in Beijing, our driver Sun made sure we had a fantastic experience from start to finish.
After meeting us at the airport, we drove to Mutianyu and Sun got breakfast for us on the way. He also advised us that as the Great Wall Marathon was also taking place on the same day, we would probably have traffic control issues, which could delay us further.
But Sun was a master of time management! He not only gave us a great informative guided tour, but also got us back to the airport with plenty of time to check in for our next flight.
I definitely recommend this tour if you only have limited time in Beijing.

Definitely not an enjoyable experience, I really had high hopes since the Great Wall was the main reason why I visited Beijing. I had taken a private tour with another company the day before and I had that as comparison (good and pleasant experience). I would say I am a person with a high tolerance and I usually go with the flow and takes things as they are. This time I feel strongly about sharing my experience.

I called the evening before to confirm everything was good to go, the person on the phone was very helpful, confirmed my hotel information and offered an early start to which I agreed. The next morning I wake up, get ready and meet the guide in the lobby. The first shock came as soon as the car door opened, there was an extreme and strong smell of smoke inside and I could barely breath. (In comparison, the car from my different tour company the day before also had a smell of smoke but it was 100% tolerable). I am only a social smoker myself and I am pretty tolerant to smoke and it's smell but this was so extreme I had to cover my mouth the whole long way to the Great Wall (about 90 min).

Our tour guide Sophia tried to make small talk but she definitely was not interested or genuine and seem bothered to be there. She explained very little and the few questions we asked would usually not understood and we were given an unrelated answer. I listened to the answer and then I would try to ask the question again or rephrase it. I was only successful a couple times. The guide was constantly on her phone (sending and receiving some sort of voice messages all day).

Lunch time came around and that wasn't any better. Most of the time I felt the responsibility to start a conversation, keep it going and lift the mood of the day. We were shown a couple options to eat at a mall (including Pizza Hut) and finally walked in into a Chinese restaurant. Our guide gave us the menu and did not introduce the restaurant or gave us recommendations. She continued to be on her phone and still seemed bothered to be there. In contrast, we were sitting right next to a table with a couple and their kids with a private guide. They were laughing and talking about the day and their food, a couple times myself and my partner would overhear their conversation and get involved (which they didn't mind).

After lunch we continued to the Summer Palace (which is a beautiful place), nothing changed much in regards to the quality of the guide. We finished after the boat ride and then stopped at a pedestrian bridge near the Beijing National Stadium (nest) to take a picture. Day concluded at our hotel were our guide Sophia got out of the car with us, we thought we would say our goodbyes or something along the lines but instead she only said she needed to use the restroom. We thanked her and awkwardly walked inside our hotel with a very bad taste about our experience.

In summary, bad vehicle and bad tour guide. The itinerary was great and I'm sure this company employees guides that are passionate about their job and genuinely interested in making sure you have a good experience and get to know the amazing Great Wall and a bit of China. Good luck!

Still in awe of the historical day that we experienced with the most amazing tour guide, Lucy! Traveling to The Great Wall and Summer of Palace was amazing and only heightened by the vast knowledge, sweet personality and wonderful use of English by our guide Lucy. Me and my father were picked up at our Beijing hotel and we drove around an hour and a half to the Mutianyu section of The Great Wall. I specifically wanted to go to this area, knowing it wasn't as crowded or as touristy as the Badaling section. A great decision that certainly was!
The area of was not crowded and there wasn't a cloud in the sky! Even though it as cold and we were bundled, we were well dressed and prepared for our adventurous day. The sun was shining on us as we took the Chairlift up to the wall. We walked from Tower 6 to Tower 1 and spent the entire time just gasping at the beauty and grandness of such history! It's so hard to believe that they started building The Great Wall more than 2000 years ago! Each photo we took was prettier than the next. The Wall seemingly goes on forever and our wonderful guide Lucy had such an awesome mix of sharing her knowledge of the history, taking our family pictures for us and guiding us where to step/where the best views were. We didn't want the experience on The Wall to end! After walking there and back (and taking prime jumping photos) we were interesting in taking the toboggan slide down (though you could have taken the chairlift back down if wanted. And you also have the option of a Gauntlet ride up and down if desired). The slide was unique and cool and totally worth it. Your own lever controls your speed and I can't recommend it enough -- make sure no one goes too soon in front of you! You want the freedom to travel at your own speed without being forced to slow down for another person.
After leaving the beautiful Wall (and dare I say, almost warm sunshine), we headed on a 20 minute drive for some authentic Chinese food and this was truly the best meal during my trip! Lucy helped us order (to make sure I had eating options that didn't include meat) and I can confidently say that I feasted on the best tofu dish I've ever encountered! Me and my Dad shared a beer as we ate and really enjoyed this culinary experience.
We drove another hour to The Summer Palace and though I'll be quick to say how beautiful these grounds were, I now understand the reason that people say a trip to The Summer Palace is only worth it in the summer. At this point in the day, the wind had kicked in and it was FREEZING!!! With our bundled coats and gloves on, we briskly walked through The Palace grounds. The lake was gorgeous and all the temples and structures rebuilt for The Dragon Lady in the late 1800's were beautiful. We didn't stay too long because of the harsh chill in the air but we're still glad we got to stroll through.
On the drive back into Beijing, we stopped on the side of the freeway to take pictures of the Olympics structures: The Bird's Nest (Beijing Stadium) and the Ling Long Pagoda (the International broadcast centre). Me and my father were consistently impressed by Lucy's knowledge of Chinese History and we couldn't recommend this tour more! Ask for Lucy to be your tour guide!

This year l chose to make a solo trip in the huge city of Beijing and l decided to bit some trips online so..here it is. I had a wonderful afternoon with the amazing Lucy,a very sweet lady (now friend of mine),that treated me like a sister and supported me,while l was very tired and bad no rest after many ours of plane. This four and half trip gave me the chance to see real pandas for the first time and enjoying a very nice dolphins' show. Lucy came to collect me at the hotel with a brand new clean car with two still water bottles for free. I truly recommend this half day tour to have fun at the Beijing Zoo with a very friendly company!

We booked this tour while in Beijing because we were tired from visiting everything on our own during the week. This was our last day and it was the perfect way to wrap up our trip.
We chose this particular tour after reading reviews online that praised tour leader Cactus. The evening before the tour we got a confirmation call to our room and were very happy to hear Cactus would pick us up!
She was early to get us in the hotel lobby as promised. The Buick van was very clean and comfortable and the driver was polite and careful. After reviewing the itinerary and making sure we understood and agreed on how the day would unfold we were on our way. We got to the Wall early in the morning before the crowds and there were no lines anywhere. Cactus showed us the map and explained our options to get up to, and down from the Wall, as well as the layout of the towers. We chose the chairlift up and toboggan down. Trust me, that's the way to do it. My wife was a bit concerned at first, but had a blast. We went at our own pace and Cactus provided tons of details about the history of the place, as well as really interesting tidbits. She took our pictures asking people to move out of the background! She did that throughout the day and we got great pictures!
After we decided we had had enough climbing, we turned back and went back down. No pressure whatsoever from Cactus.
It was off to lunch. Cactus explained where we were going and asked about allergies (many times), preferences and dislikes. The food was fantastic and I felt bad we could not eat it all, and believe me, we tried!
Summer Palace followed the same format of the Wall with a clear explanation of what we would cover (referring to the map), lots of very interesting information, and even a patient, lengthy and thorough explanation of how to say thank you in Chinese at my wife's request! (it's not as easy as we thought)
After Summer Palace we were beat and chose to forgo the Bird's Nest.
A great experience worth every penny. This company is very well run and I'm certain every tour leader is great. However, if you can, please get Cactus. I cannot think of anyone who would have made the day better and who would've provided a better tour. Highly recommend!!!
