Loved this place, so busy but a wonderful atmosphere. Plenty to eat and drink however, be careful when selecting somewhere to eat. Some of the bars offer food but they buy it in from somewhere else and the quality is somewhat lacking. If you want to eat, go to a restaurant that cooks on the premises. The bars are all... More

Hou Hai is ringed by bars, clubs and restaurants. It is an absolute hub of activity, day or night. But it is at night when it becomes truly beautiful. The choice of venues is huge. When you visit, take your time and enjoy all this location has to offer

I went there to get dinner on my first night in Beijing. They had lots of people on the streets, local dance competition and several restaurants, with karaoke and live music. Also a good option for westerners looking for western food.

I didn't really like it. It's worth going there once but that's it. Too many people (majority are foreigners)and too expensive. Many bars and restaurants...very nice in the evening. If you want to enjoy nature i guess coming once will be enough for you. You can also buy Street food here but other places are cheaper when it comes to... More

This is a happening venue with all sorts of food stands, cafes, and bars, many with live music. You wouldn't go hear to "relax" since there's an abundance of stimuli and quite a crowd, but it's quite interesting to see the many cafes and the street vendors and the overall street scene. We found it to be pretty charming, even... More

The music here is not toned down like a club, and its lively and upbeat for tourists and locals. There is Pop Culture everywhere from Tapestries to souvenirs and authentic chinese food. I highly recommend to try to the ice cream and stinky tofu. The drinks can be expensive, so try to arrive early and leave early better than getting... More

I like the sound of coming here for an afternoon/evening. However it was a bit different from what we were expecting. I knew there were bars and a couple of restaurants but I felt like I was walking down the strip in Ibiza or Magaluf rather than a pretty lake with some nice waterfront bars. Every bar was empty but... More

Beautiful lake with many restaurants, bars, and mini shops surrounding it. Plan to spend 2 to 3 hours around the area. Be sure to bring your camera. The best time to go is around sunset so you can get pictures in the day and night time. It's a beautiful place at night!

This is such a famous and really nice place, particularly at night with colorful lights. It was crowded and noisy; bar and drinks here were priced high.

Live music bars right beside each other. Choose your genre. And you don't even have to go in. You can hang out by the bridge and enjoy music and some street food.
