There is much to do and see around the lakes. We cycled along the lakes and it was a great atmosphere. Nice to combine when you visit the drum and bell towers

The atmosphere while we were there at night was amazing, so much action with the vendors selling and the bars, restaurants and shops adding to it. The views across the lake were amazing and made for some great photos. Would definitely recommend a visit.

The lights at night reflect in the lake and make this a very popular area for tourists and locals alike. A good humoured crowd were dancing at one side of the lake. There are many bars and small shops around the lake. Very atmospheric.

While Id consider myself an experienced traveler and pickpockets/tricksters are a common sight at almost any tourist spot in the world, I found this particular place to be unnaturally filled with such "opportunists". Was literally stalked by a single person for 45+ trying to get...More

The place springs to life after sunset. An array of nice pubs and restaurants surrounding the lake make it one of the most exciting tourist destinations in Beijing

It was my second visit and I was somewhat disappointed. When I went there in 2016, it was a highlight of my visit. This time it wasn't clean and many of the shops had closed or replaced by less exciting stores.

The skating ring should be open by then. How to get there depends on where your coming from. Inquire once you get to Beijing.
