We originally planned to do the great wall with Lois. Once we arrived in Beijing after travelling through Thailand and Vietnam for three weeks we decided to just have a tour of the city. This was no problem with Lois. We spent a lively day being shown around and he is full of facts about the history of China and Brijing. I would definitely book him again.

I went for a run on the Wall and ended up by myself, this was an amazing experience that I will never forget.
The steps are uneven and if your thinking about going get a bit of fitness training in so you can enjoy the experience as much as I did.

My wife and I had a wonderful time on our tour of the Great Wall! Liu was an entertaining and informative tour guide! We enjoyed our experience so much we joined him the next day in his tour of the Forbidden City. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who would like an unforgettable experience in Beijing!

Very nice tour - the driver respond my email in 3 hours and took 4 of us to Great wall plus other places. The fee was very reasonable. I will recommend them to future English speaking friends.

David was fantastic!
He picked up us at 7am to visit the Great Wall. His car was really comfortable and he also had some water for us!
We arrived at Mutianyu early in the morning and therefore it was not crowded.
Davis took care of everything and bought the tickets for us. Once arrived on the Great Wall, he explained us some facts about the Wall and afterwards he gave us some free time to hike and enjoy the view!
We then went to the Ming Tombs and once again everything was perfect!
We will probably use his service again in the future!
We can recommend David to anyone coming to Beijing

We decide to visit Beijing on a multi country trip and took advantage of China's 72 hour Visa Free system (Way too short, though they are starting to implement cities with the 144 hour rule but not in Beijing yet). Due to the short time, we decided to have a private guided tour of the city. Well, we weren't disappointed with Louis as our guide. First, the hotel we stayed at (Double Tree Beijing) is not very conveniently located for the attractions as it turns out for private tours. I live in SF, CA and lived in NYC for 25 years and have not seen the traffic like Beijing. Louis arrived on time every day of the tour as well as the day he took us to the airport. He is friendly and knowledgeable and NEVER mentioned anything about tipping like you see in other reviews of tour guides. (I tipped him over 15% and he tried to give me some back). We went to Summer Place, T-square, Forbidden City, Lama Temple, Hu Tongs (Old Beijing), Great Wall at MuTianYu and I asked him to get us ticks to the Acrobats show and he delivered. We had lunch with him (this was not included in the tour as well as entrance fees) at some traditional restaurants. When he dropped us off at the theater for the Acrobats show, he offered to wait for us til the show was over. We refused the offer and sent him home to his wife (We wanted him in good shape for us the next day instead of black and blue from beatings :), although turned out to be a bad decision for us as Taxis in Beijing seems to be really busy and we waited for like 30 minutes for one, no internet for Uber or Didi). Then he took us to the airport on the third day. Heck, he didn't even ask for a deposit on our tour or got paid by each day. I paid him on the way to the airport. I do have some advice for you Louis as I know you will be reading this review, get paid day by day or one day you will get burned.

Our family of 3-myself and my 70 year young parents worked with Louis on a 2 day tour of Beijing and can I just say that he was excellent!!
Starting from the first enquiry email, till the last drop off, Louis was professional, patient and perpetually smiling! He responded almost immediately when I first sent out the enquiry email and suggested a rough itinerary. He then followed up a few days later to suggest we buy tickets to the forbidden city to heat the line (and entry quota - there’s a limit of 80k people per day).
During the tour itself, he was very flexible and knowledgeable on the sites that we visited, peppering the walks with a history lesson and great energy! He also tailored the itinerary to our schedule which my parents really appreciated!
All in all, good experience with Louis (speaks great English btw!)..highly recommended!

I went with Louis on a group tour of a Great Wall's Mutianyu section and had a great experience. It was very well organized tour. I was picked up from a point near my hostel and was dropped back there in evening. Everything was well planned, the drive to Great Wall, the cable car to the top, lunch afterwards and tea tasting ceremony which came in as a surprise. Louis made the 2 hour drive to wall entertaining with interesting stories of Beijing and China as a whole. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who doesnt want to get into the hassle of planning and is experiencing Great Wall for the first time

Today we went on a tour to the great wall with Louis. He was an incredible tour guide and it was absolutely a pleasure talking with him. He clearly knows in and out of what you need to know about Beijing.
I asked him for a tour very late and he was kind enough to arrange it literally one night before the trip! I am very grateful for that.

Hi. I would recommend Louis' Great Wall Tours. We were around 12 people in a group, went there by mini bus, guide was very nice and knowledgeable. Found them via Tripdvisor and contacted via email, they respond very quickly.

Thanks for your message. Sure we can make it. A bus tour starts at your hotel at 7.35 am and arrives back to your hotel at 4.30 pm. Private tours are available, you can set off and come back as early as you want. But I still recommend a bus tour.

Hi there - the Downtown pickup - Mutianyu Great Wall - Airport(PEK) drop by taxi - how does this work? Can you pick up from the Hilton Beijing (with luggage) at 7AM, drop at the airport by 3PM? Where do you store the bags?

Hi there. Sure we can pick you up at the hotel at 7.00 am. All our cars and vans are big with large boot. How many of you will be on the tour, as well as how many bags you have? That can be put in the boot of the car / van. It takes 1 1/2 hours to Mutianyu Great wall, 2-3 hours'vist at the Wall, and 1 hour drive to the airport.
