We had a great day with Mr Ping. Great communication prior to the day. Turned up on time, which is a great start.
Drive out to the wall via a nice village and had a very informative tour through an enamel vase factory.

Best wish you have to wonderful day!
Our group of four had a beautiful day hiking the Great Wall! Mr. Ping picked us up punctually at 8am and during our drive told us about Beijing, China and the history of the Wall. We stopped for a tour of a small Chinese handicraft...More
This tour with Bill from China Tours was well planned. We left early and were on the Wall before most people. In fact, in some of our photos, there is no sign of any other people. A very convenient way to see the Wall, with...More
I don’t regret booking Tony Lin as our guide/driver going to the Great Wall of China for the first time. His car is brand new, very clean and smelling good. He was thoughtful to have bottled waters and even a banana snack for us! He...More
Everything you imagine the Great Wall of China to be! We went as part of a tour with the understanding that this section of the wall while more remote, is less crowded. It was absolutely amazing. We arrived early and opted for the chair lift...More

Thank you so much Daniel . Yes , we had a wonderful trip to see the two different Great Wall in the same day . Hope to see you next time .
We loved this tour. Small bus picked us up at our hotel and dropped us back in the late afternoon. It was worth every cent we paid. Sorry I didn't buy those jade earrings at the Jade factory. Tip....don't take your husband when you decide...More
We decided to book with Mr. Ping because my boyfriend had previously gone to the Great Wall with a bus tour and he said the drive took so long going with a big tour group. So we found Mr. Ping through TripAdvisor. He was punctual,...More

Im sorry. I do not know how to answer this question. Our tour guide picked our group up from our hotel in Beiijing and returned us after an additional tour to a jade store with meal. We believe this was an excellent arrangement and safe option. We were happy with the service and other 6 adult passengers in our group. Best of luck. Linda

Our trip was organized by Catherine Lu Tours and they did a good job. We had an English speaking guide. It will be cold out there so be prepared. The history is amazing so do read up it makes a big difference. You can spend two hours and get a good feel or you can trek a bit and spent 4.5 hours. Also there are three ways to go up. one is the open ski type open lift, second is a covered tram and the third is by Tobagoon. Togagon ride is the most exciting. That and the ski type lift is open air and will be cold this time of the year. However the crowds will be less and that is an advantage. Enjoy
What is a good Mutianyu Great Wall Tour (3 Replies)
Hi, Im in Beijing in Late August and the Wife & I would like to visit the Great Wall at Mutianyu. Can anyone recommend a good value tour company who does this, I don't mind travelling in a small group, also quite happy to include the Ming Tombs in the same tour. Also is it cheaper to pre-book a tour, or negotiate one locally when I get there? Thanks Jarrod

Nothing to see in Ming Tombs. Better to rent a car and driver than joining a tour.

In Bejing in April 2009. We want a private tour of Mutianyu Great Wall. Do the private drivers and tour buses just take you there, help you with tickets, drop you off and point where to go and what time to be back by. OR do they literally guide and talk to you while up on the Wall? I want to spend at least two hours on the Wall.

I want to share my experience with you when I joined a bus tour. I went to Simatai by the way. The bus and tour guide picked me up at my hotel in the morning. I was with other tourists but we were only 8 in a 20-seater coach. Along the way our guide shared a lot of stories about China and had short chats about everything and anything. Our guide helped us purchase the tickets but she did not climb all the way up. She informed us to be back at our meeting place after 2 hours. We had lunch...More
