It is a bit of a challenge still to get to 草场地 (Caochangdi) art district, because at least half of the taxi drivers don't know how to get there. However, if you (like me) find 798 art district too commercial and lacking in real art, then you will thank yourself for making the effort to get here. Lots of small galleries mostly showing interesting new Chinese and foreign artists, with affordable price tags as well! There are a couple of pretty good coffee shops, but here it is all about the artworks and artists.
