This section of the great wall is less frequented by tourists especially in the off season, like Winter. There are no cool rides or slides, or cable cars but this segment of the wall feels a little more raw. On Christmas Day 2015 I walked for hours hours without seeing anyone. It was a tough hike but I stopped a... More

We had a tour booked with China Holidays (guide Tanya was excellent) and it was last week so there was snow! It was absolutely treacherous, but we went prepared as though we were tackling an icy mountain and that felt exactly like what we were doing! We only managed to walk to the fourth gate in the two hours we... More

The wall follows the highest contours of every hill, so the enemy could not stone them from above, and stretches as far... More

Great Wall - Great View, Great Experience. Quite approachable from Beijing, can be experienced if one has 3-4 hrs time even in the afternoon.

This part of the Great Wall is a must see! There aren't throngs of people squeezing through. When I was there it was just a handful of people. You could even snap a pic of the Great Wall as if there weren't tourists present at all. This part of the wall isn't restored like the main spot at Badaling or... More

This part of the greatwall isnt restored to the chinese way of restoration. Compared to Badaling or Mutiyanyu parts, i like this section. Closer to Beijing and quite worth the trip.

Excellent view, Must visit place, Hiking at great wall is itself an amazing experience. Better to go towards southern side with less crowded due to bit steep hike. You can't afford to miss!

I really this place because it is easy to visit and such an amazing place. This place can travel by train which is very easy. Also, it has cable car so, this was very easy for first step to climb up.
