We just came back from our 8 day trip to Beijing and Xi’an. We have all good words for Catherine Lu Tours.
During planning stage of our tour, they were quick to reply as we communicated through email and Whatsapp. They answered our many questions and gave us freedom to design the tour according to our interests.
We had 3 different tour guides in different parts of the itinerary. Kathy, Justin, and Amber were all warm, knowledgable, and accommodating. They were eager to help us with our photos and videos in different spots since we had 2 agendas in mind — take videos of our daughter in her graduation toga and raising her cap and me with the Civilization video game.
Kathy wisely adjusted our Mutianyu Great Wall visit to the afternoon to avoid the morning crowd and it ended up looking like we had the entire Great Wall to ourselves. Justin recommended we visit the less touristy Panshalong Great Wall when we found out the cable car to the Simatai Great Wall was closed for repair. Our family did an unplanned hike up the wall which became a huge adventure for us and in the evening, we went to the Gubei Water Town and had great evening photos including the Simatai Great Wall lit up behind us.
Our main driver, Mr. Lu was always all-smiles with us, was patient, and arranged our day schedules well with us.
We arrived by bullet train to Xi’an from Beijing and was met by another driver to bring us to our hotel. The next morning, Amber, our guide, told us about the Legend of the Camel Bell Show while we were on the way to see the Terracotta warriors and was able to secure us tickets last minute and we enjoyed the show in the evening.
Visiting Beijing and Xi’an wouldn’t have been this easy and convenient for us if we didn’t have this company take care of us. Appreciate everything they did for our family. Thank you!
