This is a zoo for aquatic animals with a marine tunnel to walk thru. Beautifully done & great for kids & toddlers to get good views into the tanks full of coral reefs, beautiful & interesting fish, eels, stingrays and sharks.

Expensive entrance fee for a rundown facility. Though the mermaid experience is a treat

It's a 1km walk (15min) from exit A of the Dongdaqiao metro station on line 6. Kids under 1 meter are free otherwise it's 120RMB for adults. The main attraction is the walk... read more

I guess if you go with with children who doesn't need to pay entrance it will be just ok. Otherwise the water world will be very expensive for what you gone get. Too some water worlds or zoo's you can go many times an kids will still have fun but this one is just one visit worth. No reason to... More

It's a 1km walk (15min) from exit A of the Dongdaqiao metro station on line 6. Kids under 1 meter are free otherwise it's 120RMB for adults. The main attraction is the walk through tunnel of main aquarium tank. there's a conveyor belt that moves you along a good pace or you can jump to the side on the stationary... More

Tunnel was cool, but all another terrible. Staff doesn't knows simple English, we just asked about where are another pavilions. But they don't understand us. Some local people helps us. Bad air conditioning system. Very hot. Price is very high, we paid 120 for adults and 80 for children. But from 4 pavilions worked only 1.

This aquarium is pretty small but the tunnel is cool. I like that you can see the turtle and small shark in an open tank which is cool. It's small so you just need around one and a half hour to go through the whole place. There is also a small area beside the gift shop showing some specimens of... More

This aquarium was probably great when it first opened. It has a really cool underwater tunnel that takes you through some massive tanks. Sadly, there aren't very many sea creatures to admire which takes away from a potentially great experience. It's overpriced for what is there.

Not a great aquarium. Most of the sea creatures kept in small tanks especially the giant turtles. The under water tunnel is pretty cool.

Dear people, I can see there is some confusing between the 2 zoo's in Beijing! The one for which this topic is meant is The Blue Zoo at the south end of Workers Stadium, which is in the center of Beijing near Sanlitun and is quite small. The other one some people refer to in this topic is the Beijing... More

It's a great aquarium overall, but the place is a bit old now and the ticket price I found a bit too much (RMB 120 per adult, RMB 90 per child taller than 1m). We spent almost 2 hours there, the fish varieties are excellent, we especially love the tunnel to see the big tank. It's definitely a great place... More

I found this to be a good aquarium. One of the better ones that I have visited around the world. The only thing disappointing was they said that a show was going to be put on in the tank and all it was, was a few mermaids flowing around. This aquarium is worth a visit if in beijing.

During the winter, all of the shows they have advertised (and even provide times and listings for at the ticket booth) are closed. However, no discount on price. They misrepresent themselves by providing the times and descriptions of the shows when you buy the ticket, despite not having them for half the year. Poor business practice. I will not return....
