As we entered the Temple of Heaven complex, this building is big and imposing, right in the centre and surrounded by a big courtyard. Many people here and many photo opportunities. Had a peek inside the building but had to jostle for space. The external facade looks nicer than the interior of the building.

Everything about this attraction is truly awesome from the intricate decorative features to the purpose for the Hall in the first place to the stunning features such as the glazed tiles outside and the artifacts inside to the overall atmosphere there. This is where I spent most time at this expansive site as there was so much beauty and meaning to take in.

This Hall of Prayer corridor is the main attraction of the Temple of Heaven but it is so difficult to reach its entrances and take a look that you should arm yourself with patience but also resolution.

It is impressive when you see from inside ... But I am not sure it is worth the waiting and pushing ...

Bottom line, if you already are there and if you have the strength (or if it is not overcrowded) you should try and see it from inside.

This is one of the major temples in this park complex. It is a must do when in Beijing. The park is phenomenal, spotlessly clean, and surrounded by the massive Imperial Rose Gardens. The flowers alone are worth the visit. I have never seen roses so tall or extensive.

The hall of prayers for a good harvest is simply amazing. It dates back 1000 years. It has a nice museum showing you how the emperors would come into the temple and offer their prayers and burn incense. Very amazing place. Definitely worth a visit.

As part of the Temple of Heaven complex, this is a beautiful and sacred site. It history is long and illustrious and is close;y tied to the Emperors of China and their divine service to their subjects. A definite must visit site.

We paid for package of access to sites within the Temple of Heaven Park. Lots of great photo angles. Also, Chinese tourists love to take photos with westerners...so they can brag you are their "American friends" so don't be surprised if you are treated as famous. Amazing structure and worth seeing.

We walked through the whole Temple of Heaven Park. The whole park is a wonderful place to see, I loved Hall of Prayer. It is huge and beautiful. The blue hue is unique and gorgeous, the multiple levels of circular shapes of the temple itself, and the surrounding platforms are impressive. It is an inspiring place to visit. We left with beautiful memories to be enjoyed forever.

We went here the first day in our two week trip Beijing, it was a gorgeous day and was not very busy which made for a nice stroll in the area. The buildings looked to have been spruced up and the colors were very vibrant. We spent about 4 hours walking to each building in a park like setting at times. Interesting designs in the building and the layout of them was made to be able to talk in normal voice on one side of the area and be heard on the opposite side but there was too many people to even think about trying to see if it worked.

This stunning piece of architecture is a visual delight - the blues and reds and greens are simply beautiful, and the three-tiered roof is gorgeous!
