Morning Mubus Tour to the Mutianyu Great Wall

894 reviews
The Great Wall of China is an ancient fortification, more than 13,000 miles (21,000 kilometers) in length—it’s also China’s top attraction. Parts of the wall are in poor condition or else crowded with visitors. But, on this guided tour, you get to visit the quieter, under-the-radar Mutianyu section, which has also undergone a complete restoration.

This park was a 20 minute walk from our apartment. It is gorgeous with beautiful bridges crossing the lake. To enter it cost only 2 yuan a person. It is such a peaceful place in a big city. The duck boats were so cute!

We walked to the park from our hotel - Guangxi Beijing - the first day we arrived after reading about it on trip advisor. Took about half an hour and was easy to find using the map on my iPhone. The blossoms were out and looking beautiful but one of the lakes had been drained for work, which was being carried out while we were there. 2¥ for entry, which is about 10p I think. Lots of locals and a few people playing music dotted about the park. Probably not worth going out of your way for but definitely a nice place to escape the traffic and have a rest bite from city scenery if you’re close by and in the area.

We came here in February but understood right away that we have to be back for spring/summer. We took the subway to pangjiayuan on line 10 and walked from there. The park is very big and we only got to see parts of it as it was crowded for the spring festival and it was cold. Looking forward to go back during summer.

My friend and were arrange to come here while waiting for our KUNG FU show which start at 5.30pm. This is Longtan Lake Park. A little unknown by tourist BUT local people can be find everywhere here. Only a handful of tourist are here when we arrived. The scenery is beautiful, quiet, beautiful, serene and peaceful. Entering this park is only RMB¥4 per person. You can have coffee, riding a boat or mainly just walk and enjoy the surrounding.

If you are close by it really is worth a visit. The entrance ticket is 3 yuan and it shows you a REAL Chinese park for Chinese people. There are no tourists here. There are people dancing, singing and playing instruments everywhere.
