Although it is not as magnificent as the hall for prayer of good harvest in temple of heaven, but it is built in the same manner and is beautiful.

Another great architecture feature of the Forbidden city. Look up and marvel at the detail of the turret. Nice to stop, look and marvel at the craftsmanship that went into making these.

Visited May last year. The Forbidden City was fantastic - one of the most amazing places I have ever been. There is so much to see there but as you are leaving remember to look up to see these fabulous towers. They make for very impressive photos. If it is too busy or you get pushed along then you can... While we were in Beijing, my son and I visited the Turret of the Palace Museum in the Forbidden City. We were taken on the entire tour and almost missed the magnificence of the towers due to our exhaustion towards the end. But my son stood amazed as he watched the turrets in all their majesty and I was truly... More

After seeing the F.C. go thru the north gate and take a left or right, whatever your choice. (Do not take a rickshaw you will get ripped off, read the fourm for more info.) Its a short 5 min walk to the turret corners, here is the best view with the moat, the walls and the turret. A great photo!

Right at the end of the forbidden city, when you are being push and shoved towards the exit, most people don't even bother to look up and to the sides, which is where the turrets are located. Don't worry, as for me the best views and photo opportunities were on the outside. We turned left after exiting the FCC and... More

Most of the tourist miss the turrets in their visit at Forbidden City. Usually you reach them in the end and probably you are very tired already. That was my case. But there is hope; you can admire them from outside of the Palace museum, or from the top of the Jingshan park, located in north of F.B. Here is... More
