I was awed by many sights at the Summer Palace, and certainly including this magnificent setting on the hill overlooking the lake. Great views, but more importantly, a sense of calm. An important stop in a tour of the Summer Palace.

One of the highlights of the summer palace. You need a separate ticket for this but it is worth your while.

To build this city with modern day equipment would be a monumental task. To learn that it was all done by manual labor is almost unbelievable. The attention to detail is mind boggling.

its a little confusing to find the actual tower itself as there were many buildings near to one another. but all of them were great and the tower covered with buddhas was really lovely. its crowded in that area so be prepared.
