You can see this building from most places inside the summer palace grounds. A small separate fee is payable to enter this building, with 50% discount for seniors. We enjoyed the view of this building while taking a cruise around the lake.

The Summer Palace as a whole is beautiful. Its definitely a must see in Beijing. We went in winter and I'm hoping to see it again in summer sometime. I imagine the trees will be brighter and I'll get to see alot more of it.

The day we were at the Summer Palace, it was so crowded that it was nearly not worth it to come at all, if it had not been for the Buddhist Tower. It is beautiful to look at from the bottom of the steps and just as beautiful once you get to it at the top of the steps. It is

This is the highlight of outstanding building constructed within the summer palace,circle the building to catch the light reflection to get the best photo shots here. This is on an elevated area,can get crowded but all in an orderly fashion.
