Morning Mubus Tour to the Mutianyu Great Wall

894 reviews
The Great Wall of China is an ancient fortification, more than 13,000 miles (21,000 kilometers) in length—it’s also China’s top attraction. Parts of the wall are in poor condition or else crowded with visitors. But, on this guided tour, you get to visit the quieter, under-the-radar Mutianyu section, which has also undergone a complete restoration.

The mall is stunning in the evening because of the LED ceiling outside. It's great for taking pictures or even for just going for a stroll. The mall itself has the usual shops and food options, as with many other malls in Beijing. It is on the bigger end of the spectrum of malls in the city, though, so you won't find yourself bored in this place. Most brands here are foreign/international (e.g. Muji, Zara, H&M, Victoria's Secret, Starbucks, etc. There are many local options for food together with a few international chains.

Yes, come at night time and experience the visuals above on the titantron thingy. Other than that, its really just another shopping mall. If shopping is your thing and you want to see a cool show, yes, come through here. If you are passing through the area, stop by. Other than that, I wouldn't say its a "must see" but sure, its cool. PROS: -Cool visuals -Nice mall -Near train stations -Come at night CONS: -Just another shopping mall -Not a place I would say is a "must see" or to go out of your way to see if you are visiting Beijing

The shopping is okay there, according to my wife as I just basically accompany her. We ate and had coffee but we went during the day. Based on the reviews, we are supposed to go there at night as the entire roof venue gets all lit up. It was a cold December day but inside it was actually too warm so dress in layers if you go during the winter.

After visiting Beijing Parkview Green mall, I came here mainly to experience the evening atmosphere. At the entrance is a nice water fountain, enhanced by the nearby lightings. There were many locals and tourists gathering at the central outdoor area, flanked by 2 shopping buildings, enjoying the huge overhead screen displays. Suggest you visit both the Beijing Parkview Green & The Place during the evening.

Different architecture from traditional. Modern western Brand flank the buildings on the left & right. In between, a huge and I mean huge screen lines the roof of the passage way separating the 2 buildings. Different themes are displayed but this round it’s about flowers blossoming. Lots of good restaurants to select within the area. Spoilt for Choice - oriental & western. There’s a good mi shop with a wide range of electronic goods. Prices are reasonably good and an interesting shop to drop by. Overall, nice place to walk around & have a meal . Head down the silk store which is down the road for more shopping. Worth the visit when near the vicinity.
