I had the pleasure of joining this tour recently with Gloria at the helm. I could not have asked for a better experience. Everything from travel to the meeting point to the food, transportation and facilitated interactions with other tour participants was carefully curated and managed by Gloria. It was truly an exceptional tour. I would highly recommend this tour to others traveling in groups or solo like me. Thanks for everything Gloria!…

This food tour is a perfect mix of local Beijing dishes and sightseeing around the Shichahai area. Our guide, Zhongqing, introduced us to a lot of interesting and tasty snacks and food, and took us on a wonderful guided tour in the neighborhood. We would never have found the places by ourselves, and would definately not have dared to taste so many different things, had it not been for Zhongqings introduction. Therefore this was a great way to start our stay in Beijing. At the same time, we had lots of good tips for the rest of the city and info about Beijing and China in general. Zhongqing was very flexible regarding the dishes and places we tried, and always open to add or skip things according to our wishes. There is a lot of food on this tour - we were very full afterwards! :) Would recommend this tour to anyone going to Beijing and wanting to eat at local authentic places, and will probably book a new tour next time I am in Beijing.…

The guide took us to some very authentic local restaurants in Beijing. The guide is fluent in english and you can choose dishes of your own choice. There will be plenty of food and snacks on the tour and the guide can tell you alot about Beijing in general as well.

Not your average walking food tour, it is really very well designed. The tours covers a wide range of the Shichahai area, so you will see several historic and cultural attractions, and also walk deep in the hutongs to witness how the local people live their life there. Too much food along the way, so pace yourself. You might only like some of the food, but obviously it is very authentic and has a good variety. Best part is the guide, this is not a highly commercialized tour, but run by a laid back guy who is really willing to share his own experience with the tourist. You will get a lot of additional travel tips from him.…
