Still beautiful, despite the flooding

Those who cruised the Three Gorges prior to the damming of the Yangtze might be disappointed but if you haven't been before, a trip up or down the river is a wonderful experience... read more

We did the cruise downriver, and had a great time. Was challenging to find the ship, massive construction means walking around from the north side, and our ship was tied up alongside and hiding behind the Yangtze Gold. Lucky for us, our cabin was facing out and we had a bottle of wine on the balcony watching the sunset and... More

We had 3 days on the Century Sun cruise boat and enjoyed every minute of it. The Three Gorges sailing was incredible. the scenery was just amazing despite our rubbish weather which did obscure some of the taller peaks with clouds, but we decided that just gave us a 'moody' atmosphere....would really recommend this trip to all ages.

Those who cruised the Three Gorges prior to the damming of the Yangtze might be disappointed but if you haven't been before, a trip up or down the river is a wonderful experience. The peaks may not be as high above you as they used to be, but they are still very impressive. We did a four night cruise on... More

We had a four night river cruise on our Sinorama Tour of China. The cruise took us through the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River. It was beautiful scenery. Peaceful. Reminded us of many of the fjords we have been to in the world. The little villages along the way were a nice change from the huge cities in China.... More

If you are a nature lover and would choose to be lost in scenic beauty, on your visit to China, a trip to the three gorges is ideal. The rivers are surrounded by Beautiful lush green mountains. You can either come to Chongqing and take a domestic cruise or even travel on a luxury cruise to make your trip more... More

We went for a 5 night cruise with Viking and were not disappointed, the boat was of the highest standard. We travelled from Chongqing to Wuhan. The 3 Gorges are spectacular with vertical cliffs on either side for much of the journey. The are also many cities on the route and a lot of new building work. Highlights included the... More

Had the best time on the Yangtze River Cruise seeing the 3 Gorges and more, the ship we went on was the Yangtze Gold 7 and it was fantastic, it was very clean and had nice decor, our cabin was comfy and had plenty of room, we had our own balcony. The scenery along the Yangtze River was so picturesque.... More

Early in the morning with our coffees in hand we cruised the Goddess Peak of the Wu Gorge. It was a very surreal setting when there is mist and fog in between the gorge just as the sun rises. We couldn’t have asked for better weather. In the afternoon, we continued our visit to the Wu Gorge. After lunch, we... More

We booked the three day Yangtse Gold 7 at the end of a grueling schedule travelling China. We could not board at Chongqing as the water level was low. We had a three hour bus trip to Fengdu. We booked an executive cabin which was a bit tired and void of any character. There was only tea with the kettle... More
