Very well kept Hindu temple in the center of the city. There are two Swaminarayan temples on the same block. You should visit both to get a feel of the temples and the history.

Amazing how beautifull this temple is. We were lucky as they were decorating for the celebration. Looking and reading all the paintings with descriptions took us almost 1 1/2 hour. Next time we will go back again.

Walking distance from Manson Hotel, in the Town Center

A large 2 storey Temple made for an Hindu God “Swaminarayan”. Architecture show mainly history of the people from Gujarati background.

It was a genuine stunner with so many brilliant paintings related to mythology as well as the Swami Narayan sect. The front door itself demands attention span of over 20 minutes. There is no dress code or restrictions based on religion (apparently). A must visit for anyone visiting Mombasa

The Mandir, (Temple) is an old temple dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan. It’s main attraction is the eye catching colourful double doors with carvings of the ten known avatars of God per Hinduism. The doors have been maintained well over the years.

The visit was great i asked my partner to tag along because i have always been interested in the Hindu religion. The temple is a beautiful place to visit, an eye opener on their religion which i could relate to as a Christians but also the Muslims could relate to.

They do not have a dress code when visiting and they are open to all who want to visit.

Namaste.
