Our guide Benson and his driver Joseph were awesome guides on our first ever Safari. They were more than accomodating when we had some bumps in the road with our flights. Benson was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and was very passionate about being a guide. My partner proposed to me while we were in the Masai Mara and this place will always be special for that reason. We saw so many beautiful animals like lions, zebra, cheetahs, elephants and much more. Truly a trip I'll never forget. We hope to return in the future and will use the same guides!!

Done a tour with Benson to Amboselli and Tsavo and it was truly an amazing experience. Benson and our driver Hassan were very polite and knowledgeable, we genuinely believe them to be the best tour guide and driver in east Africa!
Highly recommend the safari around this area it will be something I will remember for the rest of my life, we had seen every animal possible on our tour and the views were incredible.

Benson seemed disengaged from providing our group with information on the land & wildlife. We were thrilled to see many animals, however, I'm certain other tours would find just as many in this abundant land. Our group thoroughly enjoyed our time in Masai Mara, however in hindsight, we would have gone with a different guide company.

A dream come true !!
I have just returned home from an amazing safari trip with my family. After a lot of searching I chose a 4 day safari visiting Tsavo and Amboseli with Siku Njema who were very responsive in answering all my questions prior to booking.
Benson and our driver Hassan were great hosts and ensured we were well looked after for the duration of our trip.
They were both knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife with a good sense of humour making it a memorable trip.
Benson was able to arrange for me to visit my fostered orphaned elephant at the (David Sheldrick) Voi Stockade which was a magical experience.
Accommodation arranged was comfortable with good service and spectacular views
Once again Thankyou Benson and Hassan for an amazing experience.

Myself, my boyfriend and my two children ages 8/10 had a great safari from Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru to Amboseli. Benson was a pleasure to deal with and our driver Mwasi was fantastic. We couldn't have asked for a better time!

My husband and I had booked our safari in Masai Mara with Siku Njema tours. Our driver Cosmas was extremely knowledgeable and had years of experience.
We ended up having a private safari as no other people had booked the same date and tour. Therefore, Cosmas was very flexible and went out of his way to make sure we saw as many animals as possible.
We felt very safe during the entire trip and most of all, I felt that Cosmas had the utmost respect for the animals. We were close enough to see them but not too close for them to feel threatened or invaded.
Overall, I had a wonderful time and I feel very blessed for having shared this lifetime experience with Cosmas.
I would absolutely recommend Siku Njema Tours.

Both my girlfriend and I were very pleased with the entire safari and the company of Benson and our driver. An experience we'll never forget. We got on a 4 day safari including -Lumo Conservancy, -Tsavo West National Park and -Amboselli National Park. They welcome own itineraries and lodge preferences.

Benson worked with us prior to the holiday to devise a personal itinerary to fit us perfectly. He was punctual at all times and we thoroughly enjoyed our 5 days in Kenya. The variety of activities and places we visited meant we had a great experience. He was polite and helpful and I would recommend him to anyone who wants to have a personal experience for great value.

We are staying near Vipingo from 1/1/17 until 10/1/17 and would like to spend a couple of days game viewing, particularly elephant. We are experienced Kenya visitors and would prefer not to travel with a group.Last year we visited Lion's Bluff. We are considering Shimba Hills as it is less travel time, or Amboselli. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks, Judy Harvey

Dear Judy Harvey,
Thank you for getting in touch with us.
If you want to spend a couple of days watching game with particular interest to watching/observing elephants I would advise you to take a Safari that tours Tsavo East and Amboseli over Shimba Hills Reserve.
Shimba Hills Reserve is usually thickly forested in January because of the short rains that fall from mid November to December thereby making game viewing a little difficult (and frustrating!) as the animals (especially the elephants) tend to hide behind the thick bush cover. On the other hand Tsavo East and Amboseli being relatively flat make it easy to spot just about any animal.
To enrich your elephant watching experience, I advise you to foster an orphaned elephant at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (details available on their website) - make sure to choose to foster an orphan at the Voi Stockade as this will allow you a visit and interaction with your foster child and the other orphans in the stockade - an experience you will cherish and remember for a long time.
All said, Amboseli is a long distance from Vipingo if your budget will allow it I will advise you to also visit the Taita Hills Game Sanctuary (to break the long drive from Amboseli back to Vipingo) with accommodation at the Salt Lick Lodge - this lodge has a water hole and a salt lick that attracts different kind of wildlife including huge herds of elephants.
I thank you in advance as I look forward to reading from you again and hopefully to a humbling experience of giving us the chance to be of service to you.
Best Regards and wishes for the new month of November.
Siku Njema
