Bongo is a very qualified safari guide! He is fun, knows a lot, knows all about the parcs, the animals, the different kind of hotels and he really gives you what you want. For me, I've tried many different safari companies but I would say Bongo is the cheapest and still gives you a good and nice hotel. I've worked with him for over 10 years now, all my guests and visitors I direct them to him.
He is flexible, open and kind and is ready to fulfill your wishes to his fullest.

No matter if you go for a one day safari or a 7 day safari I would recommend Bongo Safari's.

The was well organized, included all the itinerary that we asked for and even more. The suggestions were good and we considered in our decision making. Mr Bongo is knowledgeable and informative and quite kind and flexible to make sure that we were safe, comfortable and enjoyed the itinerary. He was also available by phone and text with us and ready and willing to resolve any issue. Seeing the lions, elephants, zebras was sensational. I would recommend Bongo Safari's without thinking twice

I really recommend going on a Safari with Bongo! I booked a 24 hour tour in the Tsavo East National Park and was able stay at the Sentrim Lodges inside the park. It's a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the unique nature. During these two days I learned a lot of interesting facts about the creatures there and I had the opportunity to see so many animals in their natural surroundings. The landscape is stunning and I enjoyed driving through it. I will never forget this great experience and it was one of my hightlights from my time in Kenya!

Our experience with Bongo was fantastic. Very down to Earth guy that’s been doing this for over 20 years. We got to see everything that was guaranteed to see (ie elephants and zebras etc) and we also got to see lions and giraffes as well, which are more of a treat to be able to capture. Very punctual guy that cares about his people getting the best experience they can! I recommend!

I’m writing this so as to stop anyone else falling into the trap of booking with this con company. I read reviews on here before booking but wish I’d read one that told the truth about how unorganised and unreliable Bongo Safari is.

I originally booked a 3 day safari to Tsavo East and Amboseli in March 2018, for August 2018. Anderson said he’d be in touch nearer the time, however with less than a week to go and no contact, I emailed him. This is when he said that there was actually no accommodation available at Amboseli so we’d have to go to Tsavo West. I replied saying that we booked months and months ago and we really wanted to go to Amboseli. Eventually, Anderson claimed he had found a camp in Amboseli so we could go there instead of the original lodge (this was a massive downgrade in accommodation, but we took it as we were really keen to go to Amboseli rather than Tsavo West).

At 8pm on the evening before we were due to be picked up, we had a phone call from Anderson. He used many excuses but basically said that the camp in Amboseli was now no longer available; our only choice was to go to Tsavo West.

Anderson and his company have completely spoilt half of our once-in-a-lifetime safari trip. Tsavo West was absolutely awful for seeing wildlife; our last ever game drive was a very dull 2.5 hours looking at trees and bushes. We saw approximately 3 giraffe and 5 zebra on the whole drive and I am extremely upset that our money was wasted because this inadequate company couldn’t make the booking early enough, despite me contacting them 5 months in advance.

Additionally, according to our original itinerary (see photos - last paragraph) we had arranged to have lunch at our lodge and then proceed to Nairobi Airport later in the afternoon as our flight wasn’t until midnight. In reality, we left for Nairobi at 10am, giving us 9 hours in the airport and without lunch at the lodge as agreed and paid for.

I would NEVER, EVER recommend Bongo Safari. Please DO NOT book with this company. Anderson is a liar and happy to make any false promises for a bit of money. After all this, he would only give us $20pp discount/compensation from our $1080 dollar safari. A joke.

I’m happy to be contacted if anyone has any questions, before they too make a mistake booking with this company.

Hi Rachael, Thank you for pouring your heart. It is true we disappointed you but we did not want that to happen. We do really regret it. We have learnt many lessons out of this experience but we will improve. We are always yearning to make our clients happy but sometimes circumstances crop up. The accommodations just cancelled our bookings in Amboseli without our knowledge. We are following up with them to know the cause. We are really sorry kindly forgive us and we will try our best to make our subsequent clients happy. Thank you, Regards, Anderson Bongo.

Bongo Safari proved an excellent and reliable partner to make our 2-person 6-day safari to the Masai Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli happen. They arranged everything from airport pick-up and drop-off, the lodges, the game drives, etc - all we had to do was relax and enjoy the game drives in our private jeep with our outstanding guide/driver Maruma.

Note that:
-Due to the distances and the traffic, you may spend a good deal of time in the car but that's the same for every trip of this kind where you want to see different things.
- it's good to specify what the budget includes so all are on the same page.

10/10 would recommend and use Bongo Safari's services again!

I found Bongo on Tripadvisor, after reading through the reviews of Bongo and other tours, I decided to contact then directly and started to correspond with Anderson.
From start to finish the entire experience was hassle free, I said when we would arrive and what we wanted with respect to travel time and of course what we would like to see. Everything was taken care off in a professional manner and arrangements made so all we had to do was be at the hotel reception on the given day.
Our guide was Milton and it is true when told that your guide will make or break your trip. Milton went the extra mile on every possible occasion, he ensured that we got to see everything we envisaged and a whole lot more.
I was expecting a great trip, it was something that my wife and I had been looking forward to but the team at Bongo made it into something so much more than we could have ever of wished for.
Thanks guys!!
