Great guided tour through Old Town Mombasa and Fort Jesus

I was volunteering with a hotel and restaurant in Rwanda and had a spare week, so I found myself in Mombasa, Kenya without much of a plan or an idea when I came across Humphrey's tour, and thank goodness I did. What a delightful time - the tour was excellent, full of information about the Portuguese, the Oman Arabs, and the British. Humphrey filled me in on all the details as we wandered through Fort Jesus, the Fort Jesus Museum, and then through Old Town Mombasa.

Hearing the details is one thing, but seeing Humphrey point them out, seeing the influences of each culture on the architecture of the town, the colors, the doorways... it was a wonderful way to spend the morning, and I'm so glad I got to go with Humphrey.

Check him out when you're in Mombasa!

Fort Jesus and Old Town Tour

It was delightful to see these places with the help of Humphrey. He was so knowledgeable and knew where we would get items at an affordable price. Tell him what you need and what you are willing to spend and he will surely get you there. Thank you so much we totally enjoyed ourselves. Ooohhh and thank you for the beautiful pictures you took of us, memories were made that day. Will definitely look you up the next time we are there.

Humphrey was very kind & accommodating when he provided his service. His knowledge of the area is very vast & his love for the city is showcased & unparalleled. You will learn in-depth history about the history of the city & all its colonizers. Highly recommend.

We got a warm welcome from Humphrey Ndungu. He was very friendly, accomondating and knowledgeable. His explanations on the events that took place many years back came out so well and real. He took very quality photos at well selected places which made the visit worthwhile. God bless you Humphrey!

This was an excellent tour and Humphrey was very well informed. He took us all around the Fort, through Old Town and the Spice Market. He always knows things about the area and is quick to point out notable landmarks. He also takes great photos!

Humpfrey is THE BEST

Humpfrey is THE BEST guide in Mombasa. He knows every nook & cranny. He knows great places to stay, the best places to eat, and best places to shop. Everyone in the tourism business in the are knows and respects him. He can arrange anything at just about anytime of the day or night, from dinner arrangements to scuba diving wrecks in the beautiful, warm Indian Ocean, to boat tours at Wasini where I’m sure he even arranged the plethora dolphins to swim up to the boat. He knows all the history in the area, both good and bad, and is willing to engage in conversation about its pros & cons.
The only not good thing was the Azul
Margarita hotel. Do not stay there.
I will definitely contact Humpfrey before my next trip and recommend him to anyone I know going to Kenya.

It was more days together more experience about Mombasa history other excursions including Scuba diving , and everything was really organized well , always i have to make sure my customers get what they want and thanks again for your feedback hope to see you again

Great experience with an amazing guy Humphrey Ndungu. Took us a history path that felt real and fun. His passion for the history behind this historical site is the icing. Definitely recommend him!

I did a walking tour with Humphrey and I enjoyed it a lot. He is very knowledgeable and took his time. Besides Fort Jesus he showed me old town and some nice shops. I absolutely recommend to go on a walking tour with him.

Humphrey was a terrific tour guide. He is extremely passionate about his job and the history of various parts of Mombasa. He also took very beautiful pictures of us. Worth every penny and I highly recommend for anyone visiting Mombasa

Friendly welcoming extremely knowledgeable tour guide amazing tour!
If you are looking for an awesome tour guide of Forte Jesus, Old Town and the spice market in Mombasa Humphrey is your man. He’s extremely knowledgeable and thoroughly explains the history of the forte and the surrounding areas. I was blessed to have two beautiful yellow butterflies land on my leg before the tour started who accompanied me on my tour of Forte Jesus. I was traveling solo. Humphrey carried all of my belongings and took amazing pictures that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you Humphrey! You did a fantastic job!
