This place is now called The Waterfront after the government of Kenya Invested heavily in its rehabilitation. It was just opened on 26th December 2019 to the public. We visited it on the 28th and it was very beautiful, worth visiting when you are in Mombasa. No entry fee, there are many activities like camel rides, horse rides, small cars for kids, there is a mosque within it, so many places to take snacks, It is close to the Likoni channel which is the pathway to ships coming and going out of the Kilindini Harbour, One gets to see big ships at close range.…

The place was decorated beautifully on that day.Army helicopters did a dance on water.We got to meet the president directly and Eliot Kipchoge (the person who broke the world record).Army women and men were shooting bullets into the sea,some came with huge dogs. When practising marching some soldiers carried some people around. The president gave a speech.The people who were marching (the scouts,rainbows, girl guides, rangers and many more) practised hard and woke up early. It was marvelous day for Kenya! Next time you want to travel put Kenya in your list, you won't regret it!…
