It was amazing to go out for safari with Eyes on Africa safaris. Whole trip Agnes (who made a best itinerary and was on the contact 24/7 even when part of our luggage didn’t arrive with us in the plane) and Maxwell (our amazing guide) was taking a care of us. Maxwell did his best in spotting all wild life for us (not only animals, but also birds). He knew a lot of all living things like how they are hunting etc. Maxwell knows answers on all the questions. We’ve traveled with three our kids (6 years old, 3 years old and 1 year old) and trip was well adjusted for our needs by Agnes while making itinerary and Maxwell with his suggestions of timings.

Very reliable and well organized tour agent. We went on a 6 day tailor made safari to Amboseli and Masai Mara NP. All functioned very well, our guide/driver Patrick was great, attentive and very skilled in locating wild life. We enjoyed a lot and can 100% recommend Eyes on Africa

Merry organised our round trip to Kenya and Tanzania. The organisation went smoothly and itinerary was perfect. Our guides Djuma (Kenya) and Isaac (Tanzania) were professional, friendly and both showed us a lot of animals. They tried to give us the possibility to take the best angels for photo shots. It was very important for us because the pictures from Africa are somewhere between memories and reality. We also discussed a lot about the animals, their habitat and behaviour. Both guides had excellent knowledge about animals.
We began our tour from Nairobi to Masai Mara. At the border to Tanzania we changed the vehicle and the guide. From Isebania we continued to lake Victoria, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, lake Manyara and Tarangire and then back to Kenya. At the border we changed the vehicle again. We went to Amboseli where we saw clearly Mount Kilimanjaro. All the national parks were excellent to see.
The accommodation was very good in Zebra plains Camp (Masai Mara), Speke Bay Lodge (Victoria lake), Lake Manyara Serena Lodge (lake Manyara), Maramboi Tented Lodge (Tarangire) and Kibo Safari Camp (Amboseli).
The last day we visited Karen Blixen museum near Nairobi which was very interesting choice.
Until now we were the fourth time in Africa, two times in organisation with AOA. We highly recommend it.

Such an amazing expirience, for a perfect honeymoon! Eyes on Africa Safaris made magic for us! If you want to see most of the jewels of animal kingdom, then Maxwell is a perfect safari guide for you. After you expirience close encounters with animals(I recommend as many days as you can manage ;) ) and east Africas beautiful nature,the perfect ending of your trip could be a few days in a cozy cottage(very safe and beautiful house) in Diani Beach, where you are treated with such love and passion, that you will wish never to return home! Caretaker Alex and made Josephine will make you feel as you are walking on clouds. And last but not least, if you come to Diani try not to miss if he is available chef Rashid, how has hands of gold when it comes to cooking. Now, you know everything you need to know, the next thing for you is to come here and enjoy.

Combined safari and sun holiday in Tsavo East and Diani Beach - Swahili Hotels.
Safari: Our driver Hassan M really went above and beyond to give us a safari experience we will never forget… Lioness with Cubs, fighting elephants and the elusive leopard we experienced up close. The Asnan Lodge really provided a great stay with elephants and hippo view from the back porch…
Diani Beach on the Swahili Lounge is a good looking resort with great Pool facilities.. Waiting time for breakfast and a lot of smaller defects in the rooms could be better.

My husband and I booked this trip for our 10th anniversary pre covid. It was delayed by 2 years. Eyes on Africa were great at rebooking us once everything started opening. A very special thank you to Merry & her team for making our dream trip come true in December 2022. It exceeded our expectations in every way. In Kenya we had Maxwell guiding us and In Tanzania It was Isaack. They were extremely knowledgeable and experienced, tailoring the trip to meet our needs. Some of the highlights are mentioned below.
1. The accommodations arranged( a mix of camps and lodges) were top notch and we felt safe throughout the trip. The food and comfort were also great. I especially enjoyed the service as they made it a point to wish us a happy anniversary in all the places we stayed!
2. Our transportation, a Landcruiser, in both countries, was very comfortable as the roads can be rough. They always had water and food packed when necessary.
3. The game drives were a highlight. We got to see the Big 5 and the biggest cats they we ever imagined. Our pictures and videos are ample proof of that.
I would like to once again mention our guides, Maxwell in Kenya and Isaack in Tanzania for all they did for us. A special thanks to Merry who always took my calls and helped make this trip so memorable!

Im sooo glad to read review like yours. Basicaly you are mentioning points that matters to us all working for Eyes on Africa. From the stuff at the offica to the guides in the fiels. It all needs to match in order to make your travel with us unforgettable. Next time round, you take a shorter more relaxed trip or something we call Coastal Explorer Safari... Start with Lamu Island, Move to Malindi, Have a short safari through Tsavo than end up again on sandy beaches of Indian Ocean at Diani Beach. That can be great holliday itinerary with a short safari enroute. All the best, while looking forward to host you again. EOA Team

We have graveled extensively for 20 years and this was the trip of our lifetime. I selected "Eyes on Africa" based on the recommendation of a safari guide book. Merry, at the home office took care of every detail to include a 10 day safari, followed by the ultimate beach holiday in Zanzibar at the Pongwe Beach Hotel which spoiled us forever!
The Safari included five different stays at Tent Camps and Resorts- beautifully mixed. The beds and meals at each were some of the best ever. Our safari guides, Maxwell and Isaac knew the Masai Mara and Serengeti terrain intimately and showed us more wildlife than we ever imagined. Enjoyed close-up (20 -50 feet) viewings of Lions, Leopard, Cheetahs, Elephants, Hippos and even a Black Rhino pair. Every day was awesome and varied.

Eyes on Africa Safaris handled many aspects of our group's travel to Kenya. They designed a day-safari for our group, transportation from Nairboi to Diani Beach, and two unique multi-day safaris for members of our group. We were so impressed with their responsiveness and adaptability to our requests. Furthermore, the safaris and travel with Eyes on Africa went seamlessly. All guides were prompt, extremely knowledgeable, hardworking, and friendly. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and highly recommend Eyes of Africa.

We did a 7-day safari through Kenya in October 2022 with Eyes on Africa. The provider was recommended to us by a friend and we have not regretted our decision. It was a wonderful experience and we are still reminiscing. We didn't expect to see so many animals and learn so much about the country. Merry organized the tour for us and was responsive to our requests at all times. The communication was super friendly and always professional. We were lucky to get to know Merry personally and have taken her directly into our hearts. Also our driver Major was a great company with his many years of experience and super sympathetic and humorous nature. We learned a lot from him about the country, the people and the animals. We felt very well taken care of and safe the whole time. The people were really very hospitable despite the partly very poor conditions in the country. The accommodations during the safari were very well chosen, very comfortable and clean. Also the food had always been very tasty. All in all it was an unique experience and we would choose Eyes on Africa again and again. This was definitely not the last safari. Once again a very big thank you for everything!

Wow! All we can say is how amazing this trip was. Our driver, Tito, took amazing care of us and we saw so many birds and animals. We saw the Big5 plus so many other amazing animals up close. Tito answered all of our questions and was great company. Just like the animal viewing part of our trip we also had an amazing 4 day encounter with Maasai culture and got a real look at what life is like in the Loita Hills. Everywhere we stayed was amazing. Setting up our trip was easy. The food was great and they even catered to my vegitarian diet. Overall I would highly recommend Eyes on Africa! Thanks everyone!

We are a group of 15 (including 4 children), planning a 6N 7 days safari in Kenya including Masai Mara (3 Nights).
What would your recommendations be? We would like 4X4 land cruisers and long transfers by chartered flights where possible and needed.

I am interested in a 12 day or so safari in January 2017. It will be for 2 persons, possibility of 2 more. This will be our first trip to Africa and we are excited to see the animals and parks up close. We are not looking for high end accommodations but would like tented camps. Land rovers and an assured window seat. We are open to Kenya or Tanzania. Am I correct that it would be easier to arrive into Nairobi?
After this safari we plan to travel for several weeks on our own throughout East Africa visiting Zanzibar, other game parks, Malawi, Uganda, etc.
Is this the type of trip you could arrange?

If you want to go to The Mara you can either fly into Nairobi and drive, (around 6 hours) or take a light aircraft from Nairobi into the outer of the Mara. I would highly recommend the Maasi Mara. I was there in late July/August of this year and we saw many more animals than anywhere else in Kenya and Tanzania, although it was the migration. For the most part we stayed in tents which were very comfortable and warm, (it gets rather cold at night). For a relaxed introduction to Africa, Maji Moto is fantastic. The tents are perfect, not luxurious but very comfortable, the staff are very attentive, the food is good considering you're in the middle of nowhere. Being on safari with the maasi is a terrific experience too because they have an innate sense of where the animals are and The Mara is not as vast as Tsavo, Serengeti or Ngorongoro.12 days on safari will be exhausting. The roads are rough and the drive is hot (no air-con obviously). I would recommend a day out on safari and two days exploring local villages, schools and local walks. Self drive is not recommended. My husband and two older teenage boys thought we could self drive but we were glad to take the advice of many friends who had done similar trips. There are NO signs on the roads and the roads can be non-existent. Driving after sunset is off the cards. There are many bandits, many of whom pose as the police and during the day, the 'real' police are on the roads and they will pull you over for absolutely no reason. It happened to us 5 times although we were with a local driver and it's not a pleasant experience. Crossing the boarders is also quite tedious and confusing and having a local with you helps immensely. Speak with Agnes at Eyes on Africa. She is very helpful and can arrange whatever you need and don't forget your malaria tablets, it's a very real thing.
