Ol Kinyei Conservancy is 18,700 acres of wilderness which belongs to a Maasai community who leased it to Gamewatchers Safaris and Porini Camps for it to be set aside for the purposes of wildlife conservation. Ol Kinyei Conservancy is home to only one permanent camp, the Porini Mara Camp which accommodates a maximum of only 12 guests at any given time - making this not only an exclusive experience but one that respects the principles of eco-tourism. Located within the Serengeti-Mara eco-system, Ol Kinyei is renowned for its unspoilt and breathtaking scenery with diverse terrain offering on one hand open savannah plains and rolling hills on the other.

We were fortunate to stay at Porini Mara and would definitely say this camp was the highlight of our trip. The Porini Mara camp felt exclusive! The staff was fabulous. Jimmy, the camp manager, had a wonderful infectious laugh. Our guides, Josphat & Stanley made our daily drives unforgettable and educational. Just loved those guys! We saw elephants, giraffe, hippos,... More

Much better than the national reserve. The range of game is great and the limitation on numbers (Porini Mara is the only camp on the reserve) means no hordes of trucks around good sightings, so you get a real sense of observing animals in the wild.

My first stop on my first safari and it was everything i wanted and expected. To me it offered a true safari experience. Yes there are a lot of animals there but you almost expect more from what you see on the tv. Sometimes we would drive for miles and not see anything of note. To me though this added... More

Although only 2 nights at Porini Mara Camp, the game drives within Ol Kinyei private conservancy made the most of the time there. Our excellent and very knowledgeable drivers/guides Geoffrey and Thompson were great fun. We saw a huge range of wildlife and birds and it was a pleasure to be able to share their space and not be joined... More

The Ol Kinyei Conservancy by Gamewatchers / Porini is one of the oldest conservancies which now line the main reserve boundaries and create a buffer for the wildlife. I have often seen that more game is during certain times of the year seen on the conservancy compared to the main reserve. A very limited number of accommodation facilities only adds... More

The Ol Kinyei Conservancy provides the sort of visual experience that the early pioneers in Kenya would have experienced . Abundant Game with very few people . The conservancy is unfenced but attracts many plains game and with that the predators The local Masai Community benefits from leasing the land to the conservancy and it is clear the land itself... This is one of the very best managed and most enjoyable conservancy in the whole of the Masai Mara area. The game is abundant, the people who are in fact the owners are friendly and courteous. The Camp comfortable without being extravagant!

We could not believe the sheer volume of animals that live in this beautiful place. We were lucky enough to be the only guests for a whole day, so we had the pleasure of observing so many stunning creatures with no distractions. I had previously been excited to see just one zebra or lion, but Ol Kinyei is full of... More

One of the Best Conservancy in Mara... It has one of the best wildlife concentration of carnivores and herbivores and also bird life. Stay in Porini Mara Camp to enjoy Ol Kinyei conservancy.
