If i need to give this review a title it would be "Attention to Detail". From beginning to end, Gordie and Felicia have thought of everything. From our pick up at the airport, to our transfers to and from our hotels before and after safari, to safety measures for traveling in the time of Covid 19, is unparalleled. To give my praise context, i have been on multiple horseback safaris throughout southern and east Africa over the last 15 years, and this safari surpassed all my expectations. Our Hemingway style tents and camp locations were perfect. From the high quality linens, shampoo, soap, and body lotion, to fresh flowers at our bedside were welcome comforts. For a horseback mobile safari it was the most luxurious i have experienced. Of course the reason you go on a horseback safari is to experience great riding out in the bush amongst the African wildlife. First, i must complement Felicia on the quality of her horses and beautifully maintained tack. She took great care in pairing horse to rider and made adjustments when necessary. You can tell she is a skilled horsewoman and her four legged charges are treated like family. It is not easy running any stable but to do it in the middle of the Mara, well the challenges are endless and she does it with great care and skill. Second, riding out on the Mara with Gordie, seeing lion on horseback, galloping with giraffe, it was always exciting and exhilarating, yet you never felt unsafe. The other reason to go on an African safari is to witness mother nature, and with Gordie as your guide you will not be disappointed. You an tell this is his life blood and his enthusiasm is infectious. This review would not be complete with out commenting on the food. It was as good as any 5 star restaurant. From fresh baked breads, cookies, and pastries, to the most amazing fresh produce. Lastly the entire team at camp staff, from the grooms, to kitchen, mechanics, housekeeping, etc. were top notched. They were all so welcoming and kind and it was obvious how much they love their jobs. Though one of the more expensive safaris i have been on it is worth every penny!! i am definitely going back for a second time.

I cannot recommend Safaris Unlimited highly enough. The most unforgettable experience, where every little detail has be thought of. The horses were second to none, beautiful cared for and a pleasure to ride. Delicious fresh food and drinks, every member of the team was outstanding. Thank you Gordie, Felicia and the whole team for a safari experience better than I could ever have imagined!

There are really no words to describe the magic of the 8 day Masai Mara ride. The horses are perfectly trained and cared for, all meals of the highest quality made fresh each day and the staff couldn't be anymore perfect! Riders and non riders alike will have the trip of a lifetime. I can't wait to go back. Sleeping under canvas along the Mara River was absolute heaven on earth - I could have sat and watched and listened to the hippos and other wildlife endlessly. Gordie, Felicia and their staff will make this one of the best experiences of your life! Don't put it off.

From start to finish, Felicia, Gordy and their entire team have been simply outstanding. The preparation was excellent. Maureen, their administration, was always in regular contact answering questions and advising on bank transfers etc. The arrival and welcome was superb and personal; Felicia advised on brilliant places to stay and eat before we arrived which made for an easy and relaxed time by all. We were then picked up seamlessly and taken to the airport where we greeted personally. The safari was indescribable. I have the luxury of having done many, and worked in the 'mara before, and I can testify that this will be th best you do. Gordy is a safe and knowledgeable guide who is sympathetic towards guests desires - you like photography, helps; you want to see birds, he'll show you; you're fascinated by grass breeds, he's your man. We ate like royalty. Every night. The departure, whilst reluctant, was brilliantly managed as well and we were seen off in style before returning (sad face) to the humdrum of life with the unique experience of UnLimited safaris with us forever.

Having undertaken several safaris previously, my wife and I thought we knew what to expect. We couldn't have been more wrong! This was a REAL safari. Being able to maintain a mobile camp, whilst providing absolute luxury is no easy feat and Gordie and his incredible team achieved this - all whilst in the wilds of the African plains. Although I don't ride, I definitely didnt miss out. The expert guidance from Pete on the game drives meant I experienced an insane amount of wildlife, from big cats to crazy hippo! My wife explained to me that riding across the Masai Mara on the wonderful horses is an experience which is out of this world. To be able to get up close and personal with an abundance of wildlife, under the expert leadership of Gordie is a 'bucket list' achievement. The entire team at Safaris Unlimited, alongside the amazing horses, made this an experience we'll never forget.
